<b>Essential Duties:</b></p>

<li>Demonstrates and teaches Computer Science in a classroom setting using computational analysis and problem solving through mobile app development and/or physical computing.</li>
<li>Provides instruction and course/program management in the overall knowledge and application of hardware design and software development, allowing students to discover computer science concepts and skills by creating personally relevant, tangible, and shareable projects.</li>
<li>Teaches knowledge and understanding of careers in Computer Science.</li>
<li>Conducts ongoing assessment of student growth and progress in Computer Science activities and modifies instructional methods to fit student's individual needs.</li>
<li>Continues to participate in professional development to stay knowledgeable of current developments in the Computer Science field. This includes, but is not limited to, attending seminars, workshops, and/or participating in professional learning communities (PLC).</li>
<li>Prepares instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards, maintains equipment, supplies, and other resources and maintains inventory records in accordance with district policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Works with staff and post-secondary institutions to develop and maintain career pathways, which prepare students for apprenticeship, licensure, community college, or university degree programs.</li>
<li>Demonstrates an understanding of, and leads student experiences in, related student organizations.</li>

<li>Provide information, advice and assistance to Human Resources department heads and staff regarding application of statutes, regulations, contracts and employee relations practices relating to their functional areas</li>
<li>Manage the process to investigate and respond to complaints from the Department of Labor, EEOC, ESC, and other agencies</li>
<li>Oversee and manage processes to ensure accurate management of personnel records and reporting through multiple platforms</li>
<li>Ensure that all Human Resources systems are fair, equitable, and adhere to state, federal, and local laws, and school board policies</li>
<li>Research and explain laws and legal affairs concerning employment to supervisors and employees</li>
<li>Advise and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances</li>
<li>Collaborate with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for hearings</li>
<li>Prepare and recommend personnel policies and procedures that are compliant with laws and regulations governing school system employees</li>
<li>Attend regular and called meetings of the Board of Education as needed/required</li>
<li>Facilitate staff meetings and attend other related meetings as needed/required</li>
<li>Complete local, state, or federal surveys and reports accurately and promptly</li>
<li>Participate in professional development workshops and leadership training</li>

Education and Experience</b></p>

<li>Bachelor's degree required</li>
<li>Master's degree in education, human resources or related area preferred</li>
<li>Juris Doctor (JD) or Law degree preferred</li>
<li>Minimum of five (5) years' experience as school or district administrator preferred</li>
<li>Equivalent combination of experience and education</li></ul><br>
