In this role, you will lead and supervise groups of children in a variety of camp activities, ensuring their safety, happiness, and growth. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create memorable summer experiences for young campers while fostering their social, emotional, and physical development.Duties<ul><li>Lead and facilitate diverse camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures to promote fun and learning.</li><li>Manage group behavior with effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all children.</li><li>Provide first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly.</li><li>Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored activities and compassionate supervision.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan daily schedules, organize events, and ensure smooth operation of camp programs.</li><li>Foster positive relationships with campers by encouraging teamwork, respect, and Christian values where appropriate.</li><li>Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns (as needed).</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or summer camps is highly desirable.</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies to support diverse needs.</li><li>Certifications such as first aid or CPR are preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.</li><li>Background in teaching, special education, or early childhood education is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead activities confidently while ensuring safety and engagement for all participants.</li><li>Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to connect with campers creatively and meaningfully.
