<div>Assists the DOR and Rehab Team members with assigned tasks, demonstrating safe and appropriate work practices that will facilitate the work flow of the Rehab Department.

Promotes Carerite Center&rsquo;s reputation as an unparalleled provider of rehab to the elderly by demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Involved in support duties as assigned: This includes but is not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Changing linen, cleaning, and straightening up treatment areas.</li>
<li>Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and supplies.</li>
<li>Performing clerical duties as assigned including copying, faxing, and filing.</li>
<li>Assist therapists in scheduling patients.</li>
<li>Transportation of patients to and from rehab gym</li>
<li>Set up treatment of patient or area as instructed by therapist</li>
<li>Provide hands on assist with therapist if needed for safety</li>
<li>Assist with group set-up, as instructed by the therapist</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Consistently demonstrating CareRite Centers core values in interactions with co-workers, patients and families, with all other persons involved with the patient&rsquo;s care, and the general public.</li>
<li>Consistently demonstrates professional standards as outlined in the facility Employee Handbook and as communicated by the facility&rsquo;s management.</li>
<li>Contributes to a positive work team by sharing information, using problem solving methods and accepting new ideas, constructive criticism, or advice from others.</li>
<li>Demonstrates superior customer service through courtesy, consistent follow-up, and positive communication</li>
<li>Demonstrates safe working practices. This includes but is not limited to:</li>
<li>Identifies and corrects safety hazards or notifies the facility or the Director of Rehab so that safety hazards will be immediately remedied.</li>
<li>Maintains work areas in safe and orderly fashion.</li>
<li>Maintains equipment in safe working order.</li>
<li>Uses proper body mechanics during support activities.</li>
<li>Uses universal safety precautions.</li>
<li>Wears safety equipment, as appropriate (i.e. gait belts, gloves, etc.).</li>
</ul>
Qualifications/Requirements:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>CPR certification, if required.</li>
<li>Good organizational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to changing facility/departmental demands.</li>
<li>Ability to meet all scheduled responsibilities in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Ability to cope with rapidly changing priorities.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:

For Assisting Therapist in Patient Care Activities:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to perform multiple lifts and transfers of residents to and from all surfaces at a minimum of 10 times per day.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.</li>
<li>A Rehab Aide may spend 50-90% of the time standing/walking and 10 &ndash; 50% of the time sitting.</li>
<li>Proficient with use of hands for repetitive grasping, pushing-pulling, and fine motor manipulation.</li>
<li>Exhibits good visual acuity skills.</li>
<li>Able to bend, reach, climb, kneel (60-80% of day)</li>
</ul>
For Support Activities:
<ul>
<li>A Rehab Aide may spend approximately 10-50% of the time sitting at desk or terminal entering data.</li>
<li>Some facilities may require a current state driver&rsquo;s license.</li>
<li>Proficiency with clerical skills for data entry and computer management.</li></ul>
