This position is located in the firm&rsquo;s administrative offices in Tempe, Arizona. This position will work closely with a supervising attorney to assist in the recovery of outstanding balances for our credit clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and have experience in collections or creditor rights, we want to hear from you!Job Responsibilities: In this position, the paralegal will handle matters from the demand letter stage through judgment collections and/or foreclosure. The paralegal will communicate with the client, debtor(s), counsel, the Court, and the supervising attorney as well as draft letters, payment agreements, and pleadings. The paralegal will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing ledgers, and calculating payoffs.<ul><li>Organize and work a high volume of collection matters.</li><li>Communicate professionally with debtors, clients, opposing counsel, and the court.</li><li>Manage a large number of litigation and collections deadlines.</li><li>Draft legal correspondence and documents.</li><li>File documents with courts and monitor for service of process.</li><li>Take a lead role and work closely with support staff in the collections practice.</li></ul>The successful candidate will take ownership of projects and possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Multitasking and effective prioritization are critical.Required Experience: <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of collection or related litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.</li><li>Exceptional oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a team.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work a large volume of accounts.</li></ul>Preferred Experience:<ul><li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</li><li>Paralegal Certificate</li><li>Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen</li><li>Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>As a Paralegal at CHDB Law, you&rsquo;ll join a diverse team that values a healthy work/life balance and enjoy benefits that include eligible performance bonuses and a competitive salary, as well as a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, long term disability, and 401(k), paid time off and parking.
