&lt;Company Overview&gt; Chefsville is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to blending cooking and art with family, community, and academic growth. We offer engaging camps, classes, and workshops throughout the local metro area and are passionate about inspiring young minds through creative learning experiences.&lt;Job Overview&gt; We&rsquo;re looking for energetic and caring Youth Camp Mentors to join our summer team! In this role, you&rsquo;ll be a key part of creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment for children and teens. If you love working with kids, and enjoy cooking, baking, activities, or educational programs, this is your chance to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in youth development and camp supervision.Camps are from 9am - noon; and 1pm - 4pm. Each camp is at one location per week. Each location has multiple camps scheduled with us for the summer.Each camp will have at least 2 staff members assigned to each program consisting of one lead instructor and one assistant instructor. Additional assistant instructors assigned based on the number of campers registered.&lt;Location&gt; Multiple Locations (rec centers, libraries, event venues such as the Dallas Arboretum). Some gas money supplied.&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Supervise and engage children in camp activities, ensuring they have a fun and safe experience.</li><li>Lead group activities such as cooking and baking, games, &amp; educational projects aligned with camp themes.</li><li>Maintain a safe environment by practicing proper behavior management and implementing safety protocols.</li><li>Assist with daily camp routines including check-in/check-out procedures, recipe preparation and supervision.</li><li>Support children&rsquo;s emotional well-being through encouragement, Christian counseling principles (if applicable), and inclusive interaction.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to foster a welcoming atmosphere.</li><li>Help with setting up activities, managing supplies, and tidying up common areas to keep the camp organized.</li></ul>&lt;Qualifications&gt;<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, or summer camps is preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles.</li><li>Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not required; training can be provided.</li><li>Strong communication skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for working with diverse age groups.</li><li>Ability to handle behavior management challenges with professionalism and kindness.</li><li>Background in special education or working with children with special needs is advantageous.</li><li>Passion for outdoor activities, sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare will help you thrive in this role. Work collaboratively with peers to build children&rsquo;s sense of curiosity and creativity. Successfully provide a caring, family-friendly environment where positive relationships can be built. Camp instructors are responsible for planning and implementing program directives. Some instructors will be assigned shopping, gathering coordination of equipment, recipes, educational materials and game materials.Optional: If candidate is available for weekends, there could be programs such as Saturday cooking classes, scouting programs, library and birthday parties.
