Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Corporate IT team as a key second-line escalation point across Chemifys growing technology estate. First-line queries are handled by our service desk, freeing this role to focus on complex infrastructure challenges, endpoint fleet management, and the tooling and automation that underpins everything Chemifys teams depend on. 
You will own the administration of Microsoft Intune and Entra ID, maintain network infrastructure across our Glasgow sites all while partnering with our DevSecOps engineer, Chief Architect, and wider engineering teams on projects that push our infrastructure forward. 
This role would suit a candidate with 3 or more years in a second-line infrastructure or systems administration role who is comfortable owning platforms end-to-end, not just supporting them. Key Responsibilities
Endpoint Fleet Management &amp; Intune Administration<ul><li>Own and administer Microsoft Intune as Chemifys primary MDM/MAM platform across Windows and macOS device estates</li><li>Design, deploy, and maintain compliance policies, configuration profiles, conditional access rules, and app deployment packages</li><li>Manage Windows Autopilot provisioning and zero-touch device enrolment workflows</li><li>Monitor endpoint health and compliance using Intune Endpoint Analytics and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint</li><li>Act as the escalation point for complex endpoint issues beyond first-line resolution</li></ul> 
Identity &amp; Access Management<ul><li>Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), managing user lifecycle, group policies, and role-based access controls</li><li>Maintain and improve Entra ID conditional access policies and hybrid identity sync (Entra Connect)</li><li>Support privileged identity management and access reviews in line with Chemifys security standards</li></ul> 
Server &amp; Virtualisation Administration<ul><li>Own patch management cycles, hardening baselines, and vulnerability remediation across Windows and Linux server environments</li><li>Support and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including cost management and security posture</li><li>Manage backup and recovery processes, ensuring RTO/RPO targets are met across production environments</li></ul> 
Network Infrastructure<ul><li>Administer and maintain switching infrastructure (Cisco/Meraki), firewalls, VPN, and wireless across Chemifys Glasgow sites</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from first line or flagged through monitoring</li><li>Contribute to network design decisions for new sites and infrastructure expansion projects</li></ul> 
Automation &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across IT operations</li><li>Leverage Microsoft Power Automate and other tooling to streamline IT processes and service delivery</li><li>Identify and drive proactive improvements to infrastructure reliability, security, and operational efficiency</li></ul> 
Change, Problem &amp; Project Management<ul><li>Participate actively in Change Management and Problem Management processes within Chemifys evolving ITSM framework</li><li>Contribute to IT infrastructure projects within Chemifys PMO framework, from scoping through to delivery and handover</li><li>Mentor and support first-line engineers, providing guidance on escalated issues and knowledge transfer</li></ul> 
What Youll Bring<ul><li>Proven experience in a second-line infrastructure, systems administration, or IT engineering role</li><li>Degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience</li><li>Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Intune including compliance policies, configuration profiles, app deployment, and Autopilot</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory, including hybrid identity and conditional access</li><li>Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration and automation tasks</li><li>Experience administering Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams</li><li>Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, patching, and virtualisation platforms</li><li>Experience supporting network infrastructure including Cisco/Meraki switching, firewalls, VPN, and wireless</li><li>Understanding of hybrid cloud environments, with exposure to AWS and/or Azure</li><li>Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and the ability to apply them across infrastructure and endpoint management</li><li>Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from first-line engineers through to C-level executives</li></ul> 
Beneficial Skills<ul><li>ITSM experience with familiarity of the ITIL framework, particularly Incident, Change, and Problem Management</li><li>Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300) or equivalent AWS/Azure qualifications</li><li>Experience with automation tooling such as Microsoft Power Automate or UIPath</li><li>AV equipment set-up and support across meeting room and collaboration environments</li><li>Familiarity with Agile ways of working and experience partnering with software development teams</li><li>UK driving licence and willingness to support across Chemify's three Glasgow sites.</li></ul></div>

Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced and hands-on Security Engineer to join our Corporate IT &amp; Platform infrastructure team in a hybrid role based in Glasgow. The focus for this role is integrating security industry standards into Chemifys suite of applications and hardening the application &amp; infrastructure security across our growing office and manufacturing/laboratory footprint. 
This role will drive the business towards achieving and maintaining regulatory standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will partner and consult with our teams, embedding security across all areas of IT, operations, and software development. 
This role would suit a candidate with hands on experience working with complex cloud software, on-premises hardware/networks. Someone who thrives in a small, dynamic team with a start-up mentality and the ability to drive real change across a business operating cutting-edge robotics, GPU infrastructure, and cloud technologies. You will be able apply the technical changes needed to improve security and enforce security via IaC code, GitOps and policy. 
Key Responsibilities
Information Security &amp; Framework<ul><li>Build, configure, and support Chemifys security tools, policies and platform across all aspects of the estate</li><li>Define and implement DevSecOps requirements to address infrastructure, Data and application security needs</li><li>Lead threat modelling exercises and coordinate penetration testing activities</li><li>Own security incidents and vulnerability management processes, ensuring findings are triaged, tracked, and remediated</li><li>Implement automated identity, access and authorisations solutions</li></ul> 
Infrastructure &amp; Network Hardening<ul><li>Harden network infrastructure including firewalls, segmentation,vpn, zero-trust access controls, and endpoint security</li><li>Define and improve Controls &amp; Change Management processes in partnership with IT and engineering teams</li><li>Participate in vendor and contractor discussions around secure service introduction and ongoing support</li></ul> 
Software &amp; Vendor Assessments<ul><li>Lead all aspects of vendor compliance, vendor access controls, and software security reviews through our security compliance and automation platform</li><li>Assess third-party tools and integrations against Chemifys security standards prior to adoption</li></ul> 
Observability, Compliance &amp; Governance<ul><li>Implement real-time compliance monitoring and security observability tooling across the business estate</li><li>Drive and maintain progress toward SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification and ongoing compliance</li><li>Awareness of Endpoint/workstation security provisioning via Intune.</li></ul> 
Business Continuity<ul><li>Identify and remediate Cyber risks &amp; vulnerabilities across our 24/7 manufacturing environment</li><li>Contribute to business continuity planning and disaster recovery processes</li></ul> 
CI/CD Security &amp; Best Practice<ul><li>Embed automated scanning and security controls into CI/CD pipelines and define DevSecOps standards for development and data teams</li><li>Publish and disseminate CI/CD security best practices, and provide targeted security training where required</li></ul> 
What Youll Bring<ul><li>Degree in Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience</li><li>Professional security certifications in one or more of: SSCP, AWS Security Specialty (SCS-C02), or CISSP</li><li>Strong technical proficiency in Python and Kubernetes</li><li>Solid Linux systems engineering skills (administration, hardening, scripting)</li><li>Experience with containerisation and the design and security of CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Experience with cloud infrastructure security</li><li>Experience operating secure distributed systems in production environments</li><li>Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials, GDPR, ISO 27001 and related Global regulatory frameworks</li><li>Clear communication skills and the ability to engage and support stakeholders at all levels of the business</li></ul>
