 What you'll do:
 
 
 
 As a Dental and Business Assistant you will work&nbsp;to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients.
 
 
 Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
 </li>
 <li>
 Collects and records patient health histories&nbsp;and x-rays
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies
 </li>
 <li>
 Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist administrative team with customer service functions
 </li>
 </ul>
 Patient Relations &amp; Front Office Responsibilities:
 <ul>
 <li>
 Greet and welcome patients in a warm, positive, and professional manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle patient records confidentially and respectfully, adhering to all HIPAA privacy standards
 </li>
 <li>
 Answer phones courteously using excellent customer service skills; relay messages accurately
 </li>
 <li>
 Promptly respond to voicemails, emails, and texts from patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide clear instructions, directions, and thorough answers to patient questions
 </li>
 <li>
 &bull; Schedule patient appointments and maintain an organized daily schedule
 </li>
 <li>
 Create and manage new patient accounts in the Practice Management System
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate communication and workflow between front office and clinical staff
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage unscheduled treatment plans and recall lists
 </li>
 <li>
 Place appointment reminder calls, texts, or emails
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized front reception area
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in coordinating temporary staffing coverage as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Review treatment plans with patients and explain treatment and payment options
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Education and Experience:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High school diploma or equivalent
 </li>
 <li>
 
 
 Previous experience as a Dental Assistant with front desk knowledge/insurance
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred but not required
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous customer service or office experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in&nbsp;dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong verbal and written communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Foster a positive attitude and be a team player
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Patient Care Hours:
 
 
 Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
 Tuesday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
 Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
 Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
