Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li><p><b>
Logistics &amp; Resource Management</b></p><ul><li><div>
Oversee operations at Chewonki&rsquo;s <b>Packout facility</b>, including gear maintenance, equipment inventories, and food systems.</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate outfitting and rationing for <b>overnight trips, expeditions, solos, and outdoor skills weekends</b> across multiple program areas.</div></li><li><div>
Train and support seasonal staff in <b>logistical protocols, food safety, and packing systems</b>.</div></li><li><div>
Liaise with <b>licensing and regulatory agencies</b> to maintain compliance with Maine Department of Health and Human Services, ACA, and Department of Agriculture standards.</div></li><li><div>
Serve as primary point of contact for program leaders to ensure logistical readiness for field-based activities.</div></li></ul></li><li><div><b>
Rental Group Coordination</b> <i>(January&ndash;May, August&ndash;December)</i></div><ul><li><div>
Act as the <b>site representative</b> for external rental groups using Chewonki&rsquo;s campus.</div></li><li><div>
Greet groups at arrival and departure, provide access to facilities, and uphold expectations outlined in rental agreements.</div></li><li><div>
Serve as <b>overnight on-call support</b> for group needs and campus adherence to policies.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with internal <b>facilities, kitchen, and program departments</b> to ensure operational excellence.</div></li></ul></li><li><div><b>
Program &amp; Community Support</b></div><ul><li><div>
Assist in training seasonal staff in areas such as <b>food handling, equipment usage, and packing systems</b>.</div></li><li><div>
Support <b>program delivery</b>, including occasional facilitation of interpretive or challenge-based activities based on expertise.</div></li><li><div>
Contribute to <b>risk management practices, campus duties, and community meals</b>.</div></li><li><p>
Provide rotational support to the <b>Wildlife Center</b> for animal care tasks as needed.</p></li></ul></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li><div><b>
21+ years of age</b></div></li><li><div><b>
Wilderness First Responder certification (required)</b></div></li><li><div>
Must pass Criminal Background Check including Motor Vehicle Record and Driver&rsquo;s License approved by Chewonki&rsquo;s insurance carrier.</div></li><li><div>
Experience in <b>logistics, outdoor operations, equipment or food systems coordination</b>, or related fields</div></li><li><div>
Strong <b>communication, collaboration, and problem-solving</b> skills</div></li><li><div>
Experience in <b>outdoor education, environmental programs, or guest group support</b> preferred</div></li><li><p>
ServeSafe Manager, Maine Guide, and/or ACA Instructor certification <b>preferred or willingness to obtain</b></p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Physical Requirements</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Ability to lift <b>up to 50 pounds</b></p></li><li><p>
