<div>The 12th Judicial District Children&rsquo;s Advocacy Center (CAC) is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven <b>Forensic Interviewer</b> to join our multidisciplinary team serving children and families impacted by abuse across our six-county district.</div>
<div></div>
<div>The CAC serves all six counties in Tennessee&rsquo;s 12th Judicial District: Rhea, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Marion, Franklin, and Grundy. Following training and shadowing across the district, this position will be primarily based in Marion, Franklin, and Grundy counties. Travel to Rhea county and Sequatchie counties will be required throughout training.</div>

<div><b>Position Summary</b></div>
<div>The Forensic Interviewer conducts neutral, fact-finding forensic interviews with children and adolescents in accordance with nationally recognized best practices. This role works closely with law enforcement, DCS, prosecutors, medical professionals, and advocates as part of the Child Protective Investigative Team (CPIT).</div>
<div>This position requires emotional resilience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to child safety and justice.</div>

<div><b>Key Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Conduct developmentally appropriate, legally sound forensic interviews</li>
<li>Prepare clear, objective documentation and disclosure summaries</li>
<li>Testify in court when required</li>
<li>Participate in MDT/CPIT case reviews</li>
<li>Maintain strict confidentiality and trauma-informed practices</li>
<li>Coordinate with advocates to support children and caregivers</li>
<li>Complete required continuing education and certification standards</li>
<li>Represent the CAC professionally with partners and the community</li></ul><br>

<div><b>Salary &amp; Benefits</b></div>

<li>Starting salary: $42,000 annually</li>
<li>20 days Paid Time Off (160 hours)</li>

<div><b>Qualifications</b></div>
<div>(We know this is a specialized field. Training is provided, so we are looking for the right fit more than prior interviewing experience.)</div>
<ul>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to maintain neutrality and professionalism in sensitive situations</li>
<li>Comfortable with frequent travel across Marion, Franklin, and Grundy counties (and occasionally the broader 12th Judicial District -Rhea, Bledsoe, and Sequatchie-)</li>
<li>Must pass background check and complete all required CAC and state training</li></ul><br>

<div><i>Tennessee Code Annotated requires forensic interviewers t</i><i>o meet one of the following:</i></div>
<div></div>
<div>(A) Have experience equivalent to three (3) years of full-time professional work in one (1) or a combination of the following areas:</div>
<div>(a) Child protective services<br>
(b) Criminal justice<br>
(c) Clinical evaluation<br>
(d) Counseling<br>
(e) Forensic interviewing or other comparable work with children</div>
<div>AND</div>
<div>(B) Have graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a field related to social service, education, criminal justice, nursing, psychology, or other similar profession.</div>
