Our schools are located in Bucktown, Logan Square, West Town, Downtown, and Lakeview.Position Details<ul><li>Part-time: 25 hours per week</li><li>Schedule: Monday through Friday (hours may vary based on school needs)</li><li>Hourly Pay: From $16.75+ per hour</li><li>Work Location: We have 5 schools</li></ul>BenefitsAfter 30 days:<ul><li>Sick time</li></ul>QualificationsPer DCFS requirements:<ul><li>Must be at least 19 years old</li><li>Must have a high school diploma or GED</li></ul>Health Requirements (per DCFS and Health Department):<ul><li>Physical examination</li><li>TB test</li><li>Proof of MMR vaccines</li><li>T-dap vaccine documentation (form provided upon hiring)</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children</li><li>Support lead teachers with daily lesson plans and classroom activities</li><li>Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being</li><li>Assist in meal preparation, serving, and clean-up</li><li>Help with toilet training, positive discipline, and conflict resolution</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment</li><li>Observe and document children&rsquo;s development using Teaching Strategies</li><li>Participate in 15 hours of training per year (on-site or off-site)</li><li>Must have CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it</li></ul>Schedule FlexibilityAs a substitute teacher, you may be assigned to different classrooms or locations based on school needs.
