 The Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) defines an operating room (OR) as a place of service specifically equipped and staffed for the sole purpose of performing surgical procedures. At Children&rsquo;s of Alabama, we are a Level 1 Trauma center providing a full-service operating room that provides surgical procedures in the following services: Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Urology, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Dental, Gynecology, Pulmonary and Transplant Surgery-livers and kidneys. An operating room experience is the epitome of teamwork. With at least one Surgeon, one Anesthesiologist, one Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), one Circulating Nurse and one Scrub Nurse or Certified Scrub Technician taking care of one patient at a time. Providing surgical care in a sterile environment. Since Children&rsquo;s of Alabama is a teaching institution, you may also have residents, fellows, and physician assistants in addition to the already mentioned team members.

Patient Care Technician OR

<div>In Foundation and Development at Main Campus Lee Building
Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Mon-Fri Standard Days.
Summary: 
The Development Operations Financial Coordinator works with the entire Foundation staff to provide support performing donor gift management and financial duties. The individual in this role must have high level technical and time management skills, as well as be an independent worker who takes ownership of the projects assigned. They must be able to perform a wide variety responsibilities and special projects while maintaining consistent attention to detail.

Work schedule will be Part-time Benefits Ineligible on the Day Shift, THREE - 8 hours shift per 2 weeks.
Summary: 
Works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide assistive care and communication for patients and their families in outpatient specialty clinics, as well as support for team members, professional and technical staff, and visitors. Provides safe, age-appropriate care and contributes to efficient clinic operations.<div>

The division of Pulmonary Medicine specializes in the treatment of patients with a variety of lung and sleep disorders. Specialty clinics include: General Pulmonary Medicine, Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Technology Dependence/Home Ventilators, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD), and Sleep (including Behavioral Sleep Disorders, Snore, and CPAP/BiPAP management). Board Certified Pulmonologists, Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners provide care in this department. Nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, and nutritionists are also a part of the interdisciplinary team.</div>
