We are hiring a Sr. Risk Analyst who is data-driven and has strong analytical &amp; technical skills. In this role, you will work on the Credit Risk team and will play a key role in launching new products and optimizing loss rates on the existing portfolio. You'll work closely with product, engineering, data analytics, and finance teams, interacting with key stakeholders across many departments.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,000.00 and up to $185,000.00 . Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to</h3>
<ul><li>Be responsible for the underwriting, risk management and performance of various lending products; specifically installment loans</li>
<li>Develop credit policies and continuously iterate to improve credit product approval criteria and line assignment strategies</li>
<li>Design, develop, test, refactor and scale backend implementation of new and existing risk strategies for consumer credit products .</li>
<li>Devise and apply various analytical tools and techniques to validate risk models and strategies. Leverage external and internal Chime data to build credit models and policies in partnership with our Data Science team</li>

<li>Collaborate with various data teams to build data infrastructure and establish reporting dashboards that will help senior management understand credit risk trends and exposures</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross functional teams (product, finance, legal , compliance and marketing, engineering ) across the company to assess and implement new credit risk initiatives</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">To thrive in this role, you have</h3>
<ul><li>4+ years of analytical experience, preferably at a FinTech company.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in a Credit Risk or related roles.
</li><li>Advanced SQL skills and Microsoft Excel skills.
</li><li>Experience in Python preferred</li>
<li>Exceptional detail-orientation and organizational skills. You are eager to solve challenging analytical problems for our members</li>
<li>The drive to work in a fast-paced environment and exceed ambitions deadlines while ensuring flawless completion</li>
<li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively rigorous discipline like engineering, statistics, math, or economics is preferred</li>

Senior Data Analyst, Credit Risk

 About The Role
 
 
 
 We&rsquo;re seeking a Finance Associate to support the Finance Business Partnerships function at Chime! In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring budgeting and forecasting accuracy while driving forward high-impact strategic and financial initiatives. You&rsquo;ll partner closely with business leaders and finance team members to provide insights, influence decision-making, and help shape Chime&rsquo;s financial strategy.
 
 
 Supporting the R&amp;D organization, you will collaborate with R&amp;D leaders, analytics, procurement, and a host of other partners to drive accuracy and predictability in our cost forecasting. You will also help the R&amp;D teams create the planning and budgeting process and work closely with the team to develop budget tracking and reporting. As part of your support of the Risk organization, you will support our transaction loss projection efforts by partnering with Risk and Product leadership to drive high fidelity forecasts by understanding key drivers intersecting our risk appetite and product roadmap.
 
 
 On this highly cross-functional team, you will collaborate with partners across the organization to ensure alignment and accountability. You will support the bottoms-up planning and budgeting process, develop financial models to deliver key reporting &amp; insights, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to streamline processes and increase efficiency across our finance workflows. We are looking for an analytical problem-solver who can break down complex problems into actionable components without losing sight of the overall strategy.
 
 
 The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $101,000 and up to $140,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

 To Thrive In This Role, You Have

 Minimum 3+ years of Finance/FP&amp;A, investment banking, Big 4 accounting/advisory, or consulting experience

 Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant field

 Track record of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling with strong accuracy and attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality, working diligently to navigate ambiguity/obstacles and drive projects to completion
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong process-improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation to scale finance workflows and improve forecasting precision and turnaround time
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced G-Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word, and presentation tools (PowerPoint, G-Slides) skills required

 Experience identifying, designing, or deploying AI-driven use cases within finance workflows (e.g., forecasting automation, reporting acceleration, variance analysis, or scenario modeling)
