Position Summary 
 
The role of Security Officer is to operate with the day-to-day operation and long-term outlook of the safety and security department.

As a Security Officer for the Radisson Blu Mall of America, no two days will be the same. You, along with a team of other Security Officers, will be responsible for keeping the guests and employees of the hotel safe on a daily basis.
Hourly Wage: $18.00 to $22.00

Key Responsibilities</div><div><div>
Creates guest satisfaction and exceeds expectations by providing the service expectations and standards:</div><div><ul><li>
Provides a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring proper security methods and procedures are carried out consistently</li><li>
Ensures that all employees follow safety rules and procedures</li><li>
Takes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas</li><li>
Improves safety and security at hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective actions</li><li>
Completes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift</li><li>
Monitor all activity and diligently monitor building video surveillance</li><li>
Inspects hotel regularly to observe potential security or safety related problems and takes necessary actions to alleviate them</li><li>
Keeps hotel management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance</li><li>
Understand written procedures for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threats</li><li>
Responds to all emergency situations immediately</li><li>
Takes appropriate action to safeguard guests, employees and the hotel</li><li>
Processes all written reports involving security related incidents and customer or employee accidents</li><li>
Handles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on: customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other guest complaints as necessary</li><li>
Reviews accident investigations to ensure accurate and complete reporting</li><li>
Ensures that all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policy</li><li>
Maintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keys</li><li>
Closes down the different outlets each night as per post orders</li><li>
Ensures that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized persons out of the area and prevent theft</li><li>
Maintains responsibility for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threats</li><li>
Logs and delivers all in-house packages and monitors out going deliveries</li><li>
Checks in and out all vendors to the hotel</li><li>
Meets with leaders on a regular basis</li></ul></div></div><div><div>
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations</div><div><ul><li>

Requirements/Skills
</div><div><ul><li>Associates/Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred (additional training [e.g. military, law enforcement] and education is highly desirable)</li><li>
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year security experience</li><li>
Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook required</li><li>
Previous work experience should include working in a high-volume environment, as well as, customer-service oriented atmosphere</li><li>
Demonstrates strong verbal and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Works well independently or as part of a team</li><li>

The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. As a guest services representative, you will be the face of the Radisson La Crosse. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:<ul><li>
Incoming and outgoing guests, phone calls, reservations and other day-to-day functions of the hotel</li><li>
Ensuring timely and impeccable prioritization and organization of your workspace and general lobby spaces</li><li>
Presenting a positive attitude and polished appearance to guest and team members</li><li>
Communicating effectively with all guests, staff and vendors</li><li>
Transport guests to/from airport</li></ul>
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one-year of hotel front desk experience, other hotel experience or experience in a customer service environment</li><li>
Experience in Opera system preferred</li><li>
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check</li><li>
Ability to safely operate company vehicles for transporting guests to and from the airport or as needed.</li><li>
Works well independently or as part of a team</li><li>
Strong attention to detail</li><li>

Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations</li><li>
