Independant Contractor status!!Join our dynamic team as a Part-time Bookkeeper and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for mid size property management company in Boulder. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounting software and financial concepts to support smooth financial operations. You'll be responsible for managing ledgers, monthly financial statements for owners and renters with bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial data that helps&lt;Duties&gt;<ul><li>Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using software such as AppFolio Experience is a bonus QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data</li><li>Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections</li><li>Maintain general ledger accounting records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards when applicable under DORA Real Estate Trust Accounting standards.</li><li>Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to support organizational decision-making</li><li>Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify the integrity of financial data</li><li>Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for tax preparation activities when needed</li></ul>&lt;Qualifications&gt;<ul><li>Proven experience with accounting software such as AppFolio, Yardi Cafe or similar platforms; proficiency in Quick Books is a plus</li><li>Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and public accounting standards</li><li>Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting</li><li>Familiarity with GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts</li><li>Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation processes</li><li>Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks</li><li>Basic knowledge of payroll processing and tax experience is preferred but not required</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to work independently in a part-time capacity</li></ul>This energetic role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment that values accuracy and efficiency.
