The Front Office Receptionist responsibilities will include various administrative tasks such as collecting insurance information and patient demographics, collecting patient payments, data entry, document scanning, patient follow-up calls, answering phones, and scheduling.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM -5:00 PM 
Major Duties &amp; Responsibilities: Job Skills<ul><li>
Greet and checks patients in and out</li><li>
Answers telephone and voice messages in a timely manner and is professional, friendly, and helpful with all requests.</li><li>
Respond and comply to requests for patient information</li><li>
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.</li><li>
Maintain Provider&rsquo;s patient schedule.</li><li>
Update and maintain patient information including demographics, proof of income, household assessment, etc. following all HIPAA guidelines.</li><li>
Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow</li><li>
Verifies insurance and collect payments from patients at time of service</li><li>
Balance cash drawer daily</li><li>
Provide assistance to other front office staff as needed.</li><li>
Attends and participates in in-service education for staff, quality assurance program, and risk-management programs.</li><li>
Christ Health Center has an identifiable team structure and an organized staff to sustain team-based care. The Core Care Team members are expected to meet each morning prior to seeing the first patient and review the Huddle Task List for that day.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualification, Education, Experience<ul><li>
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
1-2 years in administrative experience</li><li>
C-PAR (Certified Patient Account Representative) Preferred</li></ul>
Required Skills/abilities<ul><li>
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.</li><li>
Requires effective interpersonal skills</li><li>
Requires analytical skills, attention to detail, effective organization skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to self-direct with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Bi-Lingual in Spanish is preferred</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li></ul>

Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts</li></ul>
Language Skills<ul><li>
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence and reports.</li></ul>
Mathematical Skills<ul><li>
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.</li></ul>
Reasoning Ability<ul><li>
The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events) and to convey the information to others.</li></ul>
Physical/Mental Demands<ul><li>
Work requires the ability to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds</li><li>
Work requires ability to carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.</li><li>
Work requires ability to sit +/- 90% of the time.</li><li>
Work requires ability to stoop and bend, to reach, and grab with arms and hands; manual dexterity and to communicate with others.</li><li>
Work requires proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.</li><li>
Work requires ability to use a keyboard and visualize a computer monitor to enter words or data.</li><li>
OSHA personal exposure risk category II (Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, but employment may require performing unplanned category I tasks).</li><li>
Airborne personal exposure risk category I (Possible exposure of the healthcare worker to patients capable of transmitting M. tuberculosis). Universal precautions will be adhered to at all times.</li></ul>
