Church Nursery Attendant Job Description Christ the King Lutheran Church and Preschool (CtK), Snohomish, WAJob Title: Nursery AttendantMinistry Purpose: To provide safe, secure, nurturing, clean and efficient care for children ages 0-5. Ministry responsibilities include playing with children or directing/redirecting their play, reading stories, praying with children, while exhibiting patience and love.Pay Scale: starting at the 2025 minimum wage $16.66/hrJob Description:<ul><li>Reports to the Director of Community Engagement</li><li>Responsible for age-appropriate care which includes: changing diapers, maintaining asafe environment, holding, sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children throughgames, stories, crafts and play</li><li>Polite, friendly and courteous to all children, parents and volunteers</li><li>Arrive 15 minutes prior to start time of worship services (i.e. 9:45 am)</li><li>Stay until all children are picked up by responsible adult name(s) on the child's sign inform</li><li>Straighten room and clean any used toys before leaving</li><li>Attend an evaluation at the end of 6 months employment and annually thereafter</li><li>Work holidays that fall on Sunday and additional hours and days during busy time. (i.e.Holy Week, Advent, Lent or Christmas)</li><li>Abide by the nursery policies and expectations</li><li>Report to the Director of Community Engagement</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Dependability</li><li>Cares for children 0-5 years of age</li><li>Ability to interact with a variety of personalities/characteristics</li><li>18 years of age or older</li><li>Must present and maintain a record of current immunizations, including MMR</li><li>Must have current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPRtraining/certification for infants and children, or be willing to complete a CPR/AEDand First Aid course provided through Christ the King</li><li>Must attend Safe Place training provided by CtK and provide an application for employment and submit to a criminal background screening</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $16.66 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Childcare</li></ul>Work Location: In person
