Are you a compassionate and reliable caregiver who takes pride in helping others? Our warm and welcoming Personal Care Home is looking for a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our care team!
As a Med Tech, you&rsquo;ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality care. You&rsquo;ll be responsible for safely assisting with daily living activities, medications and supporting residents with kindness and respect.
Shifts:
7:00 am- 3:30 pm
3:00 pm -11:30 pm
11:00 pm -7:30 am
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance according to health care provider's orders</li><li>
Educate and supervise resident who self-administer medication such as subcutaneous and oral.</li><li>
Maintain awareness of medication interactions and side effects</li><li>
Monitor health, safety, and well -being of the residents. Report any changes in resident's physical condition and/or behavior to Administrator.</li><li>
Maintain resident records regarding medication distributions, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.</li><li>
Properly store medication and equipment and keeps the medication room clean and orderly.</li><li>
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and eating.</li><li>
Encourage and/or remind residents to participate in activities. Promote activities to enthusiastically to pique residents' interest.</li><li>
Assist in keeping the environment safe for residents.</li><li>
Respond to resident emergencies; provide first aid assistance</li><li>
Assist with finding staff for call offs and assisting with scheduling as needed.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li></ul>
Minimum Job Qualifications and requirements<ul><li>
High School Diploma / GED</li><li>
Complete state certification for medication administration
</li><li>1 year experience preferred</li><li>
Meet state related requirements.</li><li>
Must meet CTKM pre-hire requirements</li><li>
Ability to work in a team setting and be a team player.</li><li>
Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residents.</li><li>
Possess excellent customer and organizational skills.</li><li>
Must be available to work every other Weekend.
