Job Overview:
<div>
Under the direction of the Task Order Manager, the incumbent will provide support for the daily custodial maintenance and operation of all facilities at the North Island Janitorial contract. The incumbent will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div><b>
Essential Job Duties:</b></div><ul><li>
Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day.<br>
</li><li>
Plan, organize work, and meet all deadlines.<br>
</li><li>
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and related fixtures including drinking fountains, refrigerated water coolers, custodial mop sinks, restroom sinks, urinals, showers, and toilets.
<br>
</li><li>Responsible for sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
<br>
</li><li>Replenish supplies in restrooms, facilities, etc.<br>
</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring all dusting (both high and low) areas are maintained as necessary and polishing furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.<br>
</li><li>
Wash windows (both interior and exterior), mirrors, and walls. Washing windows may require the use of ladders.<br>
</li><li>
Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.<br>
</li><li>
Move and arrange furniture and equipment for cleaning and replacement when completed.<br>
</li><li>
Responsible for cleaning window blinds either Venetian or vertical as required.<br>
</li><li>
Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.<br>
</li><li>
Perform specialized projects such as restoration programs on floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, and other items.<br>
</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.<br>
</li><li>
Timely, cost-effective performance of duties.<br>
</li><li>
Timely completion and accuracy of all work.<br>
</li><li>
Adherence to contract requirements and CSEL policies.<br>
</li><li>
Working closely and harmoniously with fellow workers.<br>
</li><li>
Adherence to all safety and health rules and regulations.<br>
</li><li>
Responsible for the timely reporting of accidents, injuries, &ldquo;near-miss&rdquo;, and hazardous situations.</li></ul>
Job Requirements:

Mandatory:</b></div><ul><li>
General knowledge of hand and power tools.</li><li>
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.</li><li>
Must have excellent organizational skills.</li><li>
Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision.
</li><li>U.S. Citizen or legal resident alien.</li><li>
Valid state driver&rsquo;s license with excellent driving record (must provide current driving record).</li><li>
Must be able to pass background investigation.</li></ul><div><b>
Working Conditions:</b></div><ul><li>
Work is performed mostly indoors, with some outdoor required when directed. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.</li><li>
Work hours are subject to change, with overtime, nights, weekends and/or holiday work as needed.</li><li>
Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust odors and elevated noise levels.</li><li>
Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard, and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces, and elevated levels using ladders.</li><li>
While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.<br>

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will assist in the design and analysis of new site or test facility systems or modifications to existing site or test facility systems.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div><b>
Essential Job Duties:</b></div><ul><li>
Development of mechanical designs for construction of new or modification to existing facilities.</li><li>
Monitor and report weekly on the status of all current design projects; design schedule and actual cost.</li><li>
Prepare plans and specifications in conjunction with other project team members for construction packages.</li><li>
Develops fluid and thermal analysis models, component calibration models, and test data review packages in support of rocket propulsion testing.</li><li>
Participation in the entire design cycle of fluid subsystems including conceptual design, thermo-fluid modeling, structural layout and analysis, integration, and test and mission support.</li><li>
Designing and routing individual fluid subsystems (i.e. propellant feed, pressurization, pneumatics, discharge, and capture) including discrepancy resolution.</li><li>
Designing fluid component groups (i.e. solenoid valves, regulators, pressure vessels) including specification, procurement, processing, and discrepancy resolution of specific components.</li><li>
Prepares plans and drawings using design software. Performs various analyses, including dimensional, thermal, and structural, qualification, integration, etc. to assist in the identification of correct configuration, integrity, and feasibility of design(s).</li><li>
Structural design and analysis of fluid subsystems including developing 3D models, assembly, and detail drawings.</li><li>
Fluid component and subsystem and system level testing including test planning, test execution, data reduction, and data analysis.</li><li>
Project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.</li><li>
Develop heat load analysis models, flow models, etc. as required for the design of facility systems. Systems include but are not limited to: Cryogenic and gas systems.</li><li>
Assist in the review of vendor/contractor submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs) and change orders to bring product design from engineering phase to be completed construction.</li><li>
Perform trade studies and conceptual design studies to support site-wide improvements.</li><li>
Assist other departments as needed with engineering support.</li></ul>
Job Requirements:
<div><b>
Mandatory:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.<br>
MS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering degree a plus.</li><li>
5-10+ years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or vehicles in the detail design of aerospace or equivalent type fluid systems and components.</li><li>
Working knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, and fittings.</li><li>
Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes and quality control relative to tubes/piping and machined components.</li><li>
Working knowledge of materials and treatments.</li><li>
Experience working with mechanical design principles and practices. Knowledge of and application of current industry standards, such as, but not limited to: ASME Boiler &amp; Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, ASME B31.3 Process Piping, ASHRAE 90.1, International Building Code, etc.
</li><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.</li><li>
Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire.</li><li>
Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.</li><li>
Must have, and maintain, a valid driver&rsquo;s license.
</li><li>Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of software/codes (Visual BASIC, FORTRAN, C, etc.) a plus.</li><li>
Experience in design of piping systems; knowledge of process piping standards (ASME B31.3) and pressure vessel codes (ASME BPVC Section VIII) is a plus.</li><li>
Coursework or experience associated with aerospace propulsion systems.</li><li>
Good organizational and planning skills.</li><li>
Good Communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently but follow specific detailed instructions.</li><li>
Ability to interface with various levels of personnel in a multi-cultural, team- oriented environment.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. &bull; Experience with cryogenic systems.</li><li>
Experience with Creo Parametric, PTC Windchill, FLUENT, ANSYS, Flowmaster, MathCad, Autopipe, CAD and/or Winplot.</li><li>
Experience with the application and use of welding.</li></ul>
