Position - Embedded QA EngineerIndustry - Industrial Automation Location - Thaltej, Ahmedabad Experience - 2 - 4 Years Joining - Immediate t0 15 Days Preferance - Candidates from Gujarat States Only Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Embedded IoT QA Engineer (Manual Testing) to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in manual testing of embedded systems, IoT devices, and connected solutions involving firmware, hardware, mobile applications, and cloud components. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and robust IoT products. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Planning &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Understand product requirements, system architecture, and use cases for embedded IoT systems.</li><li>Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on specifications and design documents.</li><li>Document test results, report bugs, and maintain QA documentation using tools like TestRail or similar.</li></ul>2. Manual Testing Execution<ul><li>Perform end-to-end testing of embedded IoT systems: hardware (MCUs/sensors), firmware, mobile app (Android/iOS), and cloud.</li><li>Validate firmware functionality, communication protocols, and hardware interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI).</li><li>Test sensor integration, device status indicators, and power management features (battery/power supply).</li></ul>3. Communication &amp; Protocol Testing<ul><li>Validate device connectivity and communication protocols: Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.</li><li>Perform range, latency, packet loss, and reconnection tests using tools like Docklight, Tera Term, or Serial Monitor.</li></ul>4. Mobile &amp; Cloud Integration Testing<ul><li>Test interaction between devices and mobile apps via BLE/Wi-Fi and validate device control, data sync, and notifications.</li><li>Validate data transmission between device and backend/cloud platforms.</li><li>Use tools like API validation on swagger.</li></ul>5. Issue Reporting &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Log detailed defects with logs and reproduction steps in tools like JIRA.</li></ul>Work closely with Firmware, Hardware, App, and Cloud development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.6. Test Lab Management <ul><li>Set up and maintain test environments including test jigs, hardware interfaces, simulation tools, and firmware flashing tools.</li><li>Perform testing on multiple hardware revisions, firmware versions, and operating conditions.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Diploma in Electronics and communication.</li><li>2 - 3 years of experience in manual QA testing of embedded systems / IoT products.</li><li>Strong understanding of embedded hardware, firmware, and microcontroller-based systems.</li><li>Experience with serial communication, debugging logs, and hardware signal analysis.</li><li>Experience in mobile app (Android/iOS) and cloud interaction testing.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and defect isolation skills.</li><li>Ability to read technical documents, circuit diagrams, and logs to validate system behaviour.</li><li>Proficient in using tools such as Docklight, Putty, Swagger/ Postman, JIRA, etc.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Exposure to test automation frameworks (Python, Robot Framework, etc.) is a plus.</li><li>Experience with Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade testing.</li><li>Knowledge of compliance testing (EMI/EMC, CE, FCC) is advantageous.</li><li>Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From &#8377;25,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Current Location </li><li>Current CTC </li><li>Expected CTC </li><li>Notice Period </li></ul>Work Location: In personExpected Start Date: 26/11/2025
