Position Summary:
Performing assigned tasks as related to measurements of rubber components, using programmable optical measuring systems. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Perform accurate measurements of complex molded rubber components using advanced programmable optical measuring systems.</li><li>
Perform day-to-day metrology functions by following established standard operating procedures.</li><li>
Interpret and apply metrology programs.
</li><li>Additional responsibilities include all support tasks, processing all documentation, and preparing dimensional reports.</li></ul> 
Must Have:<ul><li>
Excellent mechanical aptitude with dimensional tolerance.</li><li>
Ability to interpret and use engineering drawings/schematics while understanding and applying GD&amp;T.
</li><li>Understands the GR&amp;R process and can perform GR&amp;R studies without supervision
</li><li>Experience with engineering drawings and schematics.</li><li>
Ability to determine the most appropriate measurement method based on part tolerances, and other GD&amp;T.</li><li>
Ability to produce dimensional reports, collect &amp; analyze data, and understand statistical process control rules</li><li>
Some knowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis.</li><li>
Some experience with operation of semi-automated measurement equipment (Optical and/or laser) MicroVu and OGP systems.</li><li>
Ability to interpret charts, graphs, and data.
</li><li>Possess integrity, a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, a high degree of self-motivation, and a strong work ethic and the ability to function in a team environment.</li><li>
Understanding of shop mathematics (basic math required and trigonometry, geometry preferred).</li><li>
Excellent Communication skills (Oral and Written).</li><li>
Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel).</li><li>
Ability to use basic functions of Minitab software.</li></ul>
 **Must be able to work through 3-6 months training for this position on 1st shift (645am-4pm) before moving to 2nd shift (245pm-11pm) going forward.
Good to have:<ul><li>
1-3 Years&rsquo; experience as a metrologist strongly preferred.</li><li>
Initiative.</li><li>
Computer literacy, eagerness to learn.</li></ul> 
 Pay Range: $24.50/hour depending on skills and experience.

Position Summary: 
 
The Senior Laser Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and functional operation of laser processing equipment within the R&amp;D organization. This position supports the development, prototyping, and production transfer of medical device components through advanced laser manufacturing processes. 
Primary responsibilities include developing and executing manual and CAD-based programs for femtosecond and fiber laser cutting of tube, flat stock, and complex components. The individual will assist in the design, fabrication, and qualification of tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions required to support development activities. 
Additional responsibilities include setup, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of laser welding systems for joining metallic components and assemblies. The role will also support laser marking operations, including the development of permanent identification marks, UDI markings, logos, and other precision marking applications on a variety of materials. 
The Senior Laser Technician will collaborate closely with engineers, quality personnel, and manufacturing teams to develop robust laser processes, document process parameters, conduct process characterization studies, and support equipment qualifications and validations. The position is expected to maintain a high level of technical expertise in laser processing technologies while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Operate, program, and troubleshoot femtosecond, fiber, and marking laser systems.</li><li>
Develop CAD and manual programs for precision laser cutting applications.</li><li>
Set up and optimize laser welding processes for medical device components and assemblies.</li><li>
Develop and validate laser marking processes for identification, traceability, and branding requirements.</li><li>
Design and assist in fabrication of fixtures, tooling, and workholding solutions.</li><li>
Perform process development, characterization, and optimization activities.</li><li>
Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), process validation, and engineering studies.</li><li>
Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and development records.</li><li>
Troubleshoot equipment, process, and quality issues while implementing corrective actions.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and laser safety requirements.</li><li> 
Support prototype, pilot, and production builds as required.</li><li>
Provide technical training and mentorship to operators, technicians, and new employees on laser equipment, processes, and department procedures.</li><li>
Support customer and business development activities by producing laser samples, prototypes, and process demonstrations when required.</li><li>
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop manufacturing procedures, cost estimates, and process quotations for new opportunities.</li><li>
Evaluate, recommend, and implement alternative manufacturing methods and process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.</li><li>
Research, evaluate, and recommend capital equipment, tooling, and technology investments to support organizational growth and capability expansion.</li><li>
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate service activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime and performance.</li><li>
Partner with production planning and manufacturing teams to prioritize work, manage machine utilization, and support customer delivery requirements.</li><li>
Provide technical leadership and guidance across cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.</li><li>
Support pre-production planning activities, including review of manufacturing requirements, tooling readiness, and process risk assessments.</li><li>
Assist in developing and maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), setup instructions, and process specifications.</li></ul>
Must Have:<ul><li>
Degree/certificate in Laser Technology or related field helpful; electrical/mechanical or electronics, Automation Technology, Automated Machinery Systems, Robotics</li><li>
3+ years Laser Tech experience required</li><li>
Recent Femto laser cutting experience</li><li>
Experience with high tolerance cutting, welding and drilling of metals</li><li>
Set up of laser parameters</li><li>
Experience or a desire to learn CAD/CAM software</li></ul> 
Shift: 1st shift; 7:00am-3:30pm Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $32 - $50/hour, based on experience and qualifications
