<div></div><div><div><p>The Cedar Falls Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant for its reference department on the second floor. Position will be 29 hours/week with evening and weekend work required.</p><p>
Duties will include assisting library patrons with accessing materials and information, providing technology assistance to patrons; planning and staffing programs for adults; performing services in the reference department; providing clerical and technical assistance to professional library staff; and performing other tasks as assigned.</p><p>

High school diploma, or equivalent, and at least two years of customer service or administrative experience required, library setting preferred. Part-Time Library Assistant (Reference Dept.)

<div></div><div><div><p>The City of Cedar Falls Operations and Maintenance Division is accepting application materials for a year-round (up to 29 hrs./wk.) Laborer with primary assignment to the Park and Cemetery Section but will be utilized throughout the Division as needed. Typical hours will range from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mon-Fri. with an occasional Saturday. Part-time benefits include pro-rated holidays, vacation, and bereavement, tuition reimbursement, wellness, and retirement plans.</p><p>
Position is a semi-skilled, labor position requiring physical strength &amp; endurance for duties primarily related to construction or maintenance within city parks or cemeteries. Duties related to arboricultural needs, mowing/yard work, or related operations may also be assigned.</p><p>

Qualifications</b></h3><p>
Individuals must have a high school diploma, or equivalent; valid driver&rsquo;s license, good driving record, and as applicable, be 18 years old for DOT licensing; and possession of (or the ability to obtain &amp; maintain) the appropriate Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement within six months of employment. The individual selected is also subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Clearinghouse queries, driver&rsquo;s license and driving record reviews, and DOT random drug and alcohol screenings. Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen are also required for the selected individual.</p>
