<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div>1. Monitor and analyze outstanding accounts receivable balances across the Finance Department, Parking Department, and other City departments as necessary.<br>
2. Collect City tourism tax revenue, parking tickets, administrative fines, and other miscellaneous receivables as needed.<br>
3. Maintain a City revenue recapture account with the Minnesota Department of Revenue.<br>
4. Develop relationships and maintain contact with internal and external customers.<br>
5. Develop and maintain collection procedures for parking and administrative fine tickets and other receivables as needed.<br>
6. Prepare accounts for referral to collection agencies or collection attorneys.<br>
7. Document all collection efforts in a manner that will provide sufficient detail of all collections efforts.<br>
8. Ensure collection efforts and correspondence are in accordance to policy and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.<br>
9. Create and manage payment plans, settlements, and other recovery efforts, including evaluating and negotiating terms with collection agencies and collection attorneys.<br>
10. Notify City management when problems arise, or potential problems occur that may affect collection activities, and make recommendations to correct or avoid these problems.<br>
11. <div><p><b>Education/Experience Review (100% of scoring process; 70 pass point):</b> Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be rated based on the type (relatedness) and extent of their education and experience as documented on their application and/or supplemental questionnaire. Applicants who pass this exam will have their names placed on an eligible list for this classification.</p></div><br>
