Community Engagement and Development Coordinator/LibrarianEdwardsville Public LibraryAccountability: Library DirectorPursue funding opportunities, market library programs and services, and build community relationships. Collaborate within and beyond the library&rsquo;s walls to support and develop initiatives, projects, and services that address the community&rsquo;s needs in unique and exciting ways.Pay range:Coordinator: $20-$25 hourly; $41,600 - $52,000 salaryLibrarian: $22.12 - $29.81 hourly; $46,000 - $62,000 salary40 hours per weekBenefits include: IMRF pension participation, variety of PTOs, Employee Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance paid 100% with 75% paid family coverage&middot; Build relationships with area schools, committees, coalitions, boards, and service organizations that align with and further the library&rsquo;s mission&middot; Seek out opportunities to present library services at speaking engagements and community events&middot; Identify opportunities for community outreach and coordinate library participation&middot; Coordinate and provide library programming beyond the library&rsquo;s walls&middot; Report to and coordinate with the Library Director to ensure a cohesive message across all platforms and outreach efforts&middot; Manage the library&rsquo;s social media accounts, creating and sharing content to promote the library&rsquo;s mission, initiatives, programs, collections, and services&middot; Monitor trends in community engagement and social media, and experiment with ways to leverage the library&rsquo;s in-person and online presence&middot; Write grants and work with community partners to raise funds for special projects&middot; Regularly generate reports and study the statistics regarding the effectiveness of the library&rsquo;s, social media platforms, community engagement, and fundraising efforts&middot; Participate in strategic planning&middot; Other duties as assignedMasters of Science in Library and Information Sciences from an ALA accredited school encouraged; related education and experience considered. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required. Additional education and experience preferred in areas such as communications, professional social media engagement, public speaking, community outreach and networking, team building, project management, or other experience resulting in the development of skills, knowledge, and attributes conducive to this positionThis position&rsquo;s title without an MLIS degree is &ldquo;Coordinator.&rdquo; The position&rsquo;s title is &ldquo;Librarian&rdquo; with the MLIS degree. The Librarian position is posted at a higher pay scale.Community collaboration will result in tangible work to create and sustain new programs, projects, and services. Much of this work will be accomplished by the Community Engagement and Development Coordinator/Librarian, while some may be distributed to other staff members under the advisement of the Library Director with input from the library&rsquo;s administrative team.
