<div>Job Summary:

The RDC Manager is responsible for the management and administration of the Reecy Davis Recreation Center. This includes oversight of facility operations, staff recruitment and development, program creation, budgeting, community engagement, and partnership management. The position ensures the delivery of quality recreational programs and services, oversees day-to-day facility operations, and supports the City&rsquo;s mission to provide safe, engaging, and inclusive recreational opportunities. The Manager reports directly to the Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation. 


 Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>
Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Facilities Management, Parks and Recreation, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in parks and recreation programming, facility management, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.</li><li>
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul> 


Essential Job Functions:
<ul><li>
Manage the daily operations, administration, and programming of the Reecy Davis Recreation Center.</li><li>
Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, coach, and develop staff to ensure effective and efficient operations.</li><li>
Create, coordinate, and implement recreational, fitness, senior, and special event programming tailored to community needs.</li><li>
Monitor and evaluate facility operations, programs, and services; make recommendations for improvement.</li><li>
Develop and manage budgets, including revenue projections, expenditures, and cost analyses.</li><li>
Coordinate investigations of incidents and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>
Oversee the use of recreation software and ensure accurate reporting and data management.</li><li>
Serve as the primary liaison between the City and the Boys &amp; Girls Club, ensuring alignment of services and effective communication.</li><li>
Oversee facility reservations, maintenance, and operational practices to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Recreation facility management principles and operations.</li><li>
Recreation program development, implementation, and evaluation.</li><li>
Safety practices and standards related to recreational facilities and equipment.</li><li>
Facility mechanical systems, building operations, and applicable codes and ordinances (preferred).

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in an indoor recreational facility environment with low to moderate noise levels. Regular activities include standing, walking, sitting, speaking, hearing, and visual observation. The position requires lifting or moving up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Work may also occur outdoors, with potential exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.</div>

<div>Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Park Facilities Coordinator performs a variety of semi-skilled duties and tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and operation of park facilities, buildings, amenities, and grounds. This position is responsible for ensuring that all park properties are clean, safe, functional, and well-maintained for public use. The role involves facility maintenance, equipment operation, minor repairs, inventory management, and support for park operations. The Park Facilities Coordinator reports directly to the Parks Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.</li><li>
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of facilities, buildings, and grounds, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.</li><li>
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License. Ability to obtain Applicators and CPO Certification within six (6) months of employment.</li></ul>

Essential Job Functions:
<ul><li>
Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of park restrooms, buildings, pavilions, and amenities.</li><li>
Operate maintenance equipment such as pickups, trailers, mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles to perform grounds and facility upkeep.</li><li>
Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to playground equipment, benches, bleachers, restrooms, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and irrigation systems.</li><li>
Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, including clearing drains, repairing faucets, changing light bulbs, and replacing switches.</li><li>
Assist with the maintenance and repair of vehicles, tools, and equipment used in park operations.</li><li>
Support facility projects through carpentry work, furniture movement, and installation of amenities.</li><li>
Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and materials, ordering replacements as needed.</li><li>
Complete and document assigned maintenance work orders and service requests accurately and efficiently.</li><li>
Assist with special events, seasonal projects, and emergency responses, including work during inclement weather conditions.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Facility and grounds maintenance practices, including cleaning, repairs, and safety protocols.</li><li>
Basic electrical, plumbing, irrigation, and mechanical systems.</li><li>
Operation and maintenance of a variety of groundskeeping and facility equipment.</li><li>
Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, and work orders.</li><li>
City policies and procedures.</li></ul>

Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.</li><li>

Diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related issues.</li><li>

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, chemicals, and physical hazards. Work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching. Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Coordination of eye, hand, and foot movement is necessary for operating vehicles, equipment, and power tools. The role may require weekend, holiday, and &ldquo;on-call&rdquo; work assignments as needed.</div>
