About Role:
The Nurse Manager oversees daily operations and programs management for a designated group of clinics or units, collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing. Responsible for achieving financial, quality, and strategic goals, the Nurse Manager leads with a positive, people-focused approach, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment. Acting as a change agent, they promote open communication, professional development, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards while ensuring efficient use of resources and the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality, patient centered care.</li><li>
Oversee daily operation and ensure efficient staffing and resource allocation.</li><li>
Manage budgets and monitor financial performance.</li><li>
Guide quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational and patient care goals.</li><li>
Act as a charge agent, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.</li></ul></div><div>
Your qualifications should include:<ul><li>
Education: BSN or MSN</li><li>
Experience: 3 years experience in an area of expertise relevant to the department with demonstrated progressive leadership growth</li><li>
Licensure: Current California RN license</li><li>
BLS certification with American Heart Association</li><li>
National certification (must be acquired within 12 months of hire or transfer)</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Provide Certificate</li><li>
Transplant and Cellular Therapy Certified Nurse (TCTCN)</li><li>
OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)</li></ul>

The successful candidate:

The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for accurately performing a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and reporting results within the expected turnaround time to assist healthcare providers deliver the most optimal patient outcomes. Performs, as assigned, all required equipment maintenance, calibration and quality control testing per departmental procedures. Must be available to sign-up for on-call shifts and provide coverage for other shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Performs a variety of tasks including specimen transport, specimen processing for in-house and send-out testing for reference laboratories, answering telephone calls, reviewing pending logs, etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate&rsquo;s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field from an accredited college or university or successful completion of a U.S. military Medical Laboratory training program.
Certification: Certification required (ASCP or AMT) or eligible to take exam. Must successfully complete certification (ASCP or AMT) within 18 months of hire.
Special Skills: Professional demeanor, effective collaboration and communication skills ensuring teamwork with co-workers, nursing staff and physicians. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Above average problem solving and critical thinking skills.

The van den Brink Laboratory, is a transplant and CAR T cell immunology laboratory at City of Hope. The lab has an outstanding academic environment focused on immunology, microbiota and bone marrow transplantation and has a strong track record of research associates subsequently attending medical school or other academic opportunities.
As a successful candidate, you will:<ul><li>
Utilize laboratory equipment and established protocols to perform a variety of research experiments. Record and validate results for accuracy and completeness.</li><li>
May modify protocols.</li><li>
Write standard operating procedures and reports.</li><li>
Maintain records of work performed, including results and methodology; utilizing records may calculate, graph, and compile data.</li><li>
Develop techniques and expertise in one or more areas relevant to laboratory research projects.</li><li>

Research Associate I - CAR T Program

This role involves preparing specimens and performing waived to high‑complexity clinical laboratory testing in full compliance with SOPs and all major regulatory standards, including FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and Joint Commission requirements. The position supports education by assisting in training students and staff, while also demonstrating continued growth in test system analysis, troubleshooting, and regulatory proficiency. It requires a strong understanding of section operations, contributions to staff development and future testing needs, and serving as a technical resource for laboratory personnel and leadership. All work is performed under the authorization of the Laboratory Director in accordance with CLIA 1988 (CFR 493.1445(a)).
As a successful candidate, you will:<ul><li>
Maintain strong technical proficiency in specimen processing, laboratory testing, equipment operation, and accurate result reporting.</li><li>
Perform and document quality control, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.</li><li>
Prepare reagents and materials, ensure proper documentation, follow safety protocols, and uphold high standards of integrity and customer service.</li><li>
Draft, revise, validate, and ensure compliance of laboratory policies, procedures, SOPs, and accreditation requirements.</li><li>
Lead or support validation of new instruments, reagents, and tests; analyze data; and participate in inspections, proficiency testing, and regulatory readiness.</li><li>
Oversee workflow, scheduling, staff competency, and quality performance indicators while identifying improvement opportunities and supporting departmental operations.</li></ul></div><div>
