As a successful candidate, you will:
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of process improvement and technology solutions across enterprise patient access. This role has responsibility for improving patient access related workflows, establishing standard work, optimizing technology solutions, and developing effective training programs. Perform and manage complex data analysis to determine process improvement opportunities, evaluate alternatives and prioritize redesign efforts that address the strategic needs of the organization. Serves as a Liaison between access operations and other internal departments. Oversight on all Patient Access initiatives within QBO (QUALITY AND BUSINESS OPTIMIZATION).
Business Analysis<ul><li>
Serves as functional and technical consultant on new products, system enhancements and upgrades.</li><li>
Maintain repository of organizational and tactical objectives; develop process documentation, department/unit metrics and key performance indicators.</li><li>
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources; reconcile conflicts; decompose high-level information into details; abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding; and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.</li><li>
Maintain in-depth understanding of stakeholder&rsquo;s business and program needs, which will allow for proactively offering business process improvements and solutions to improve efficiency.</li><li>
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.</li><li>
Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.</li><li>
Assists management in identifying opportunities to improve business operations and the overall patient experience. Documents current state, recommendations for future state, implementation planning and timeline, and expected benefit. Presents recommendations and full business case to leadership. Oversee and coordinate improvement initiatives across all aspects of patient access including point-of-service scheduling/registration, financial clearance, call center operations, patient referral services, and nurse triage. Drives best practices through influence of leadership team and staff while meeting and exceeding performance targets. Respond to ad-hoc requests and develops effective solutions in a time manner. Coach staff and managers to improve workflow and operational performance.</li></ul>
Project Management/Data Analysis<ul><li>
Act as project manager for all aspects of individual projects (e.g., solution analysis, user experience design, information architecture and content strategy, front and back-end development, technical implementation, testing and quality assurance), serving as primary point-of-contact to stakeholders for related work.</li><li>
Act as liaison with stakeholders and project team members regarding changes to scope and delivery dates, providing regular reports and project dashboards to leadership.</li><li>
Establish relationships with stakeholders to determine project requirements, and create proposals that reconcile stakeholder requirements with service scope and ensure proper setting of expectations (e.g., project goals, scope, participant responsibilities, delivery dates, and governance).</li><li>
Develop detailed project work plans, timelines and budget (if applicable). Maintain project assignments, monitor workloads, and resources to meet project requirements. Frequently reassess project scope to ensure projects are carried out according to established plan and budget.</li><li>
Strong influence skills to align with stakeholders&rsquo; practices (project management, risk management, etc.), strategies (metrics, goals, outcomes, strategic priorities), and utilizing tactics (negotiation skills, triple constraint, business relationship management principles).</li><li>
Takes the lead in maintaining and improving process automation through system enhancements. Recommends technology solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes. Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning. Stay current with industry trends and IT solutions.</li><li>
Analyze, review, forecast, and trend big and complex data sets. Performs ad hoc analyses, including prospective modeling and retrospective trending. Able to develop data plans, data request, data acquisition, data cleansing, and perform analytics. Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources. Work with departmental leaders to outline the specific data needs for each functional unit. Assists management in preparing reports, charts and presentations. Prepares special documents, reports and related materials for staff and executive management meetings as required.</li></ul>
Technical Aptitude<ul><li>
Handle special projects. Participate in annual budget process as it relates to improvement goals and initiatives.</li><li>

As a successful candidate, you will:
The Patient Access Representative III is responsible for the check-in and check-out of patients on behalf of medical group physicians and other licensed providers. This role requires a high level of independent judgement in order to successfully coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments across multiple hospital departments. This individual is expected to utilize telecommunications and computer information systems to create accounts, verify information and insurance, collect co-pays, schedule and re-schedule complex appointments. The Patient Access Representative III is best defined as a highly independent and flexible resource that focuses on system-specific service lines that are in alignment with the patient experience initiative. Furthermore, this role must multi-task between different patient care areas to ensure an extraordinary patient experience and that quality standards are met. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: physician to patient communication and serving as an information resource.
Registration and Scheduling:
Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the flow of the patient registration and scheduling process within the paper and electronic environments. Registers, pre-registers, consents and schedule all patient appointment types, across the clinics, ancillary areas and hospital. Creates pre-registration record and links pre-registration record to scheduled appointments. Proactively coordinates appointments with other functional areas. Maintains department productivity, accuracy, and quality assurance standards while performing these duties. Ensures data is entered accurately for all patient demographic and insurance information. Completes all required legal documents, and obtains and scans all other related documents. Performs cash collection functions, patient pricing estimates, ETC admission.
Ensures that financial protocols and requirements are met while providing access to service at COH facilities by reviewing account documentation. Maintains and applies current knowledge of insurance requirements when verifying eligibility and confirms authorization is secured prior to forwarding patients to service delivery areas; escalates unsecure financial accounts to management. Provides patient with itineraries, advance beneficiary notice and written instructions for tests and procedures as applicable. Seeks assistance from Financial Counselors when needed to maintain patient flow while resolving financial issues and ensuring financial clearance of account. Provides information and assistance to patients to ensure they understand the Financial Assistance policy and application process. Provides Financial Assistance applications to all uninsured patients. Screens ordered tests and communicate to physician and/or ABN Specialist those tests and/or diagnoses that do not meet criteria to be covered by Medicare
Assures that the correct pre-registration visit encounter type is linked to the scheduled appointment. Creates a request for authorization of service if applicable. Sends orders for diagnostic tests to appropriate department. Assures that documentation indicating the date of service and the visit number accompanies the orders for diagnostic testing.
Customer Service:
Ensure a high level of customer service by greeting, being a resource to patients and visitors. Serve as a liaison between patients and support staff. Develop effective relationships with colleague, physicians, providers, leaders and other employees across the organization. Demonstrates genuine interest in helping our patients, providers and other employees by using excellent communication skills, being polite, friendly, patient and calm under pressure.
Managing multiple, changing priorities in an effective and organized manger, under stressful demand while maintaining exceptional service. Maintain composure when dealing with difficult situations and responding professionally. Independently recognize a high priority situation, taking appropriate and immediate action. Effectively communicates with service delivery and other departments to resolve issues that impact patient care and escalating issues that cannot be resolved in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Quality Assurance
