This is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing and communication efforts for one of the most dynamic departments in West Michigan&mdash;promoting parks, programs, and events that enrich lives and strengthen our community.

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">What You&rsquo;ll Do</h2>

As our Marketing Coordinator, you&rsquo;ll play a key role in shaping how our programs and events connect with residents. You will:
<ul><li>
Develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns that grow participation and community awareness.
</li><li>
Manage our website, social media platforms, and email communications to keep residents informed and engaged.
</li><li>
Design and produce marketing materials, brochures, videos, and digital content.
</li><li>
Coordinate photography, media releases, and public relations efforts.
</li><li>
Build partnerships with local media, sponsors, and community organizations.
</li><li>
Track performance data, analyze engagement metrics, and continuously improve marketing strategies.

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">About You</h2>

You&rsquo;re a passionate storyteller, strategic thinker, and multitasker who thrives in a collaborative environment. You know how to balance creativity with organization and love using marketing to make an impact.

Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
</li><li>
Three (3) years of professional marketing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
</li><li>
Strong writing, editing, and design skills
</li><li>
Experience managing social media, websites, and marketing campaigns
</li><li>
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office
</li><li>
Valid Michigan Driver&rsquo;s License
</li><li>
Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) or ability to obtain within one year of hire
</li></ul>

Hourly pay range: $25.99&ndash;$33.20, depending on experience
</li><li>
10% employer retirement contribution&mdash;well above industry average

Up to 4 weeks vacation, 12 sick days, 11 holidays, and 3 personal days annually
