</div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Nature of Work</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div>This is a part-time position. Depending on the department to which an individual is assigned, the work may involve the collection of various fees and assessment liens. Work may entail frequent personal and/or telephone public contact in handling fee and/or lien collections and routine clerical duties.</div></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Functions</b></h2></div>
<div><p>An employee may also calculate miscellaneous charges involved in litigating delinquent accounts and any adjustments to accounts based on new information provided by the customer, City code, or review of documents (such as Certificate of Occupancy, demolition permits, park permits, and private hauler contracts) research property ownership by using information provided by the Miami-Dade County Courthouse or Water Department; type correspondence to be sent from the delinquent section (such correspondence may include legal documents to be recorded in official records of the County); verify fee calculations and validate cash collection at end of shift with supporting documentation; and perform other related work, as required. Ability to operate a computer terminal and/or point of sale system, 10 Key adding machines, cash registers, and/or other common office equipment is required.</p></div><br>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Requirements</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div>High school diploma or its equivalent with six (6) months general clerical or cashiering<b> </b>experience.<br>

Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond a high school diploma or its equivalent and six (6) months of the required experience.<br>
<br>
**Depending on the area of assignment a valid driver's license may be required. If so, a Valid Driver's License from any state (Equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application, however prior to appointment a State of Florida Driver's License (Class E or higher) must be presented to the Department of Human Resources and must be maintained valid throughout employment.</div><p><b><br>
SPECIAL NOTE:</b></p><p>
Employees in this classification will be required to work various shifts, to include nights, holidays and weekends.</p><p>
Candidates will be subject to a Level II background screening.</p></div><p></p>

If degree/diploma does not reflect the academic major on its face, transcripts indicating degree completion must be submitted. If submitting transcripts, submitted transcripts must include the following: student's name, school name, number of credits, degree completion, and major. </b><b>Audit/Academic reports are not accepted as substitutions for college transcripts.</b></div>
To qualify under the equivalency clause, applicant must provide<b> proof of education</b> in one or more of the following applicable forms: college transcripts or Associate's degree or higher.<br>

<b>Approved Credential Evaluation Agencies</b><b>:</b><br>
<b>Credential evaluation reports showing the United States equivalency for academic credentials earned in other countries may be provided by:</b><br>

An accredited four-year college or university in the United States, OR</li><li>
A current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), OR</li><li>
A current member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE), OR</li><li>
A recognized Professional Organization</li></ul>

<b>Toxicology:</b> Prospective employees may be required to submit to toxicology, medical and background screening.<br>
