This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancy for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Municipal Court department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION<ul><li>

Pay Considerations &ndash; If position is non-exempt (hourly), insert: The starting hourly pay for this position is $26.11. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.</li><li>
Work Schedule &ndash; This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hour work week), Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. 
 
THE ROLE 
Performs a wide variety of specialized clerical duties in support of the Municipal Court including records management, data entry and courtroom clerical support; and to provide information and assistance to the public.</li></ul>

<div>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
Education and Experience<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Twelve months&rsquo; office experience in clerical, accounting, legal or another related clerical field.</li><li>
Must type 40 accurate net words per minute as demonstrated by a typing certificate dated no more than one year prior to the date of application. 
Licenses and Certifications</li><li>
Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver&rsquo;s license within required time frame.</li><li>
Ability to receive NCIC certification within six months.</li></ul>
SELECTION PROCESS<ul><li>
Complete online application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City&rsquo;s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.</li><li>
The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).</li><li>
Personnel File Review - Pass/Fail, Minimum passing score is 75%- All current employees seeking internal positions will undergo a personnel file review. The personnel file review includes a current employment status check (probationary/qualifying periods), and a review of active discipline and most recent performance evaluation. Employees with a rating that does not meet minimum standards may be disqualified from this recruitment process.</li><li>
Typing Test - (Pass/Fail). 40 net words per minute. To be administered by the City.</li><li>
Oral Board Interview (Weighted 100%, Passing Score 70%):
</li><li>Pre-Employment Screening &ndash; For non-police positions only: Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local &amp; state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.</li><li>
Selection/Offers</li></ul>
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
