<div>JOB TITLE: Human Resource Generalist
Salary, FLSA Exempt &ndash; Non-Union 
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Director of Human Resources &amp; Operations 
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
Responsible for performing human resource related duties on a professional level working closely with senior management. The areas of responsibility include benefit administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. (Advancement opportunity after one year based on job performance) 
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Participate in the implementation of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.</li><li>
Maintain EEO-1 reports annually and other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
</li><li>Assist the Clerical Team in updating and maintaining the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
</li><li>Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and orchestration of annual open enrollment periods.</li><li>
Conduct recruitment efforts for all personnel including job description updates, placement of advertisements on all appropriate sites, testing and interview scheduling.</li><li>
Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database.</li><li>
Maintain all personnel records in compliance with current laws and best practices.</li><li>
Plan and coordinate annual employee training as a means of meeting regulatory or legal requirements and mitigating risk.</li><li>
Coordinate and conduct exit interviews in conjunction with the Finance Department ensuring the collection of all City property and deactivation of all technology access.
</li><li>Assist in adherence to HR budgetary constraints.</li><li>
Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned
</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
<ul><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, records, and reports.</li><li>
Use critical thinking to effectively solve human resource issues.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory relations with other employees through a high level of contact.</li><li>
Exceptional time management skills.</li><li>
Ability to handle a multitude of issues/responsibilities with attention to detail and minimal supervision.</li><li>
Knowledge of BS&amp;A software (preferred)</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
</li><li>Knowledge of FCRA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, Labor Law Posting Requirements and Worker's Compensation laws.</li></ul> 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
A bachelor's degree in business or related field
</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of HR experience
</li><li>Experience working in a municipality (Preferred)</li><li>
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (Preferred)</li></ul> 
SALARY RANGE: $55,000-$75,000 annual salary (Based on experience) 
BENEFITS: A comprehensive package is available and includes healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and section 125 plan. (City employees currently do not pay insurance premiums)
