The purpose of this class within the organization is to manage recreation programming and facilities in the City of Rock Hill. This class works under direct supervision according to set procedures. 
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires high school graduation or GED equivalent, or specialized vocational training. The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered. 
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License 
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>
Ability to work nights and weekends.</li><li>
Ability to assist with custodial duties, program/athletic field preparations, and minor maintenance needs.</li><li>
Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines.
</li><li>Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, general public, and all other internal and external customers. Personally demonstrated appropriate customer service skills.

</li></ul>Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>
Assist with programs, clinics and special events at Rock Hill Parks, Recreation &amp; Tourism facilities.
</li><li>Assists staff and volunteers related to programs and special events.</li><li>
Provides assistance and support to concessions, admissions, weekend call schedules and special events.
</li><li>Assists with programming, partnerships, special-events and community outreach opportunities.
</li><li>Assist in hosting regional, national and international events.</li><li>
Assists and/or is responsible for the opening and closing of facilities in the absence of a supervisor.</li><li>
Assists with security, maintenance, trash pick up, and any facility issues.</li><li>
Assists with and/or compiles daily, weekly, monthly and annual membership, usage and financial reports.</li><li>
Provides staff support to projects as assigned.</li><li>
Participates in cross training opportunities.

Recreation Leader I - PT, Non-Benefited

<div>General Description:
The purpose of this job within the organization is to organize, monitor, and supervise building maintenance, cemetery custodial and parking division operations; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to the facility maintenance, cemetery custodial and parking functions. This job works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports. 
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business, liberal arts, or related field. Requires six years in the field of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and construction and some experience with local, state, federal, OSHA, building codes and NFPA codes or closely related experience. Extensive knowledge of life safety regulations, fire codes, and building codes. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems and elevator troubleshooting and repairs. The equivalent combination of education, training and related work experience may be considered. 
Special Certifications and Licenses:

Coordinates and manages City-wide projects with an emphasis on maintaining effective and efficient procedures to the City's customer information system and other special projects as assigned.</li><li>
Coordinates and supervises the work of employees in these divisions.
</li><li>Oversees the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment.
</li><li>Maintains electrical, plumbing, mechanical, custodial, cemetery and parking operations.</li><li>
Supervise daily operations of the Building Maintenance Division, the Custodial Division, the Cemetery Division, and the Parking Division.</li><li>
Organizes the electrical and construction needs for multiple events.
</li><li>Supervises all roof Projects, HVAC, elevator, fire protection systems, inspections and maintenance for City-owned buildings.</li><li>
Ensures local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes and rules are maintained.</li><li>
Responsible for all life safety equipment including elevators, fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems.
</li><li>Responsible for making budget recommendations for replacement or repairs at all city facilities including structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC equipment. Works closely with Asset Manager on replacement schedules.
</li><li>Budget preparation and management.</li><li>
Manage various construction and engineering projects of varying complexity to ensure timely and within budget completion</li><li>
Oversees contractors involved in facility projects and delivery of services</li><li>
Serves as the emergency contact for fire, security, elevator and alarm companies.
</li><li>Maintains 10-year capital improvement plan for all city facilities in conjunction with Asset Manager.
</li>Performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.
