Seasonal Full-Time Parks WorkerThe City of Schuyler is currently accepting applications for Seasonal Full-Time Parks Workers to assist with the maintenance, upkeep, and beautification of city parks, trails, and recreational areas. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining public spaces for the community.Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Parks Department, Seasonal Parks Workers perform a variety of manual labor tasks related to grounds maintenance, landscaping, and park operations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain park grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, and general landscaping</li><li>Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently</li><li>Plant, water, and maintain flowers, trees, and shrubs</li><li>Assist with irrigation and basic maintenance of landscaping systems</li><li>Pick up litter and debris to ensure parks remain clean and safe</li><li>Support general maintenance and special projects as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li><li>Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred, but not required</li><li>Ability to safely operate or learn to operate landscaping equipment</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Must be able to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions</li></ul>Position Details<ul><li>Job Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (Temporary)</li><li>Schedule: Monday &ndash; Friday, up to 40 hours per week</li><li>Pay Range: $17.00 &ndash; $22.00 per hour (depending on experience)</li><li>Work Location: In person &ndash; Schuyler, NE</li></ul>Seasonal Employment NoticeThis is a temporary seasonal position with employment not to exceed six (6) months or 120 days, based on operational needs.
