<p>Plans and conducts comprehensive financial, compliance, and performance audits of city divisions, departments, programs, activities, or businesses having contracts with the city. This work involves planning audit procedures; evaluating internal controls; collecting, evaluating, and interpreting relevant data and records; performing complex data analyses; conducting interviews; observing operations; assessing alternatives for improvement; and writing clear and convincing reports. The responsibilities are carried out both through collaborating in teams and performing individual assignments.</p><b>

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a job-related field, from an accredited educational institution.</li><li>
Four years of full-time professional experience as an auditor conducting internal, financial, and/or performance audits.</li><li>
A master's degree in job-related field may substitute for one year of required experience.</li><li>
Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.</li></ul>
 <b>Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements</b><ul><li>
Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 36 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out-of-state driver&rsquo;s licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to the State of Arizona. <b>Note</b>: Graduated Driver&rsquo;s Licenses are considered restricted.</li><li>

This role resides in the Financial Management Service Division, specifically providing support to Planning and Development Services, Scottsdale Stadium, Economic Development, Tourism and Events, Westworld, and Aviation.<br>
