Must be motivated, dependable and hardworking. The Equipment Operator reports to the Street Superintendent for daily assignments.Required Responsibilities:&middot; Operates, services and repairs vehicles&middot; Perform street maintenance duties&middot; Assist with sign maintenance&middot; Repairs ditches and shoulders&middot; Clean and repair storm sewers&middot; Assist with snow removal&middot; Marks pavement with paintMinimum RequirementsMust have High School Diploma or GED18 years of age or olderOne to two years experience involving the use of medium and heavy equipmentRequirementsNebraska license and good driving recordCDL preferred or obtain one in 6 monthsAdditional InformationStarting Wage: $18.98 w/o CDL; $19.74 w/CDLTypically work 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday with a &frac12; hour lunch period; however, must be able to work more than 40 hours, if needed, including weekends.Bi-weekly pay schedule401(k) RetirementBenefits include Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, HolidaysPre-employment and on-going random drug testingApplication ProcessThe City of Sidney accepts applications only for positions which are open.
