<div>GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
The purpose of this classification is to support grants management financial activities by performing tasks that include tracking grant expenses and revenues, reporting, budgeting, and invoicing in compliance with internal grants management procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. 
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.<ul><li>
Assist in developing the department and grant fund budgets</li><li>
Perform grant-related financial reporting and account analysis</li><li>
Process department requisitions and invoices for payment</li><li>
Support the reimbursement process for grants, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing to grantors</li><li>
Support grant award closeout financial activities</li><li>
Review accounts for budgeted and actual comparisons</li><li>
Reconcile payments received and track outstanding receivables</li><li>
Input, track, and maintain grant expenses and revenues along with supporting documentation in the City&rsquo;s grants management database</li><li>
Prepare account reclassification and adjusting entries in coordination with Finance</li><li>
Assist in preparing grant fund budget amendments, as needed</li><li>
Participate in internal and external meetings</li><li>
Conduct standard internal audits of grant-funded programs/projects, and perform special audits as assigned</li><li>
Participate in year-end closing procedures in preparation for the annual audit</li><li>
Prepare the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) report</li><li>
Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting standards and principles</li><li>
Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal grant regulations</li><li>
Perform other related duties, as assigned</li><li>

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance, accounting, business, public administration, or a closely related field.</li><li>
Two (2) years of experience in budgeting, finance, auditing, grants management or a closely related field, and/or any combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver&rsquo;s license with an acceptable driving history</li></ul> 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS REQUIRED
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:<ul><li>
Strong basic math and accounting skills for budget and other financial calculations</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Ability to analyze and evaluate data</li><li>
Knowledge of state and federal grant regulations</li><li>
Knowledge of governmental accounting practices</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively</li><li>
Ability to multitask, maintain composure, productivity, and simultaneously meet tight deadlines</li><li>
Ability to operate office equipment such as copier, telephone, computer, and printers</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word &amp; PowerPoint)</li></ul> 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations. 
 
WORK HOURS 
Monday &ndash; Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. (May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the business needs of the city.
