<div><p>The Senior Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator operates light and heavy equipment and performs general laboring duties.</p></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Examples of Duties</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Operates a wheel loader, yard jockey truck, and trailer to process incoming waste to be hauled by contractor to out-of-county landfill site.</li></ul><ul><li>
Operates excavator, wheel loader, bulldozer, and compactor to process inert waste.</li><li>
Operates a zero-turn mower and farm tractor/rotary mower to maintain landfill grounds.</li><li>
Operates weed eaters, hand blowers, edgers, chemical sprayers, pole saws, etc. to maintain the landfill.</li><li>
Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment.</li><li>
Performs litter control duties.</li><li>
Serves on City Emergency Response Team as required.</li><li>
Provides direction and assistance to customers.</li></ul></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED;</li><li>
One (1) year of experience in a related field;</li><li>
Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and</li><li>
Valid State of Georgia Class &quot;B&quot; Commercial Driver's License.</li></ul></div><p></p>
