In this role as a Utility Grid-Edge Planning &amp; Innovation Analyst, you&rsquo;ll support grid modernization, enhance customer energy programs, and drive the transition toward clean, efficient energy. You&rsquo;ll work with cutting-edge analytics, distributed energy resources (DERs), and smart meter (AMI) data to optimize utility operations and improve system efficiency.What You&rsquo;ll Do:<ul><li>Leverage AI-powered analytics, AMI data, and operational insights to identify system inefficiencies, optimize load management, and support energy-saving programs.</li><li>Lead or assist technical and economic studies on grid conditions, emerging grid-edge technologies, and DERs to enhance asset utilization and defer unnecessary investments.</li><li>Conduct operational and fiscal analysis, coordinate utilities operations and capital budgets, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations for leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies on grid modernization strategies, research initiatives, demonstration projects, and innovation efforts.</li></ul>For the complete job specification, listing essential duties and desirable qualifications, go to www.talgov.com/employment/hr-job-descriptions.aspxEDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:Utility Analyst: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical or industrial engineering, public or business administration, planning, economics, computer/data science, or a related field, and two years of experience that includes utility analytics, planning, operations research, and/or data science.Senior Utility Analyst: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical or industrial engineering, public or business administration, planning, economics, computer/data science, or a related field and four years of professional experience that includes utility analytics, planning, operations research, and/or data science; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
