RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervision of campers at all activities throughout the day; actively participate in daily activities; ensuring the safety of campers and encouraging their participation in camp activities; all counselors must enjoy working with children and demonstrate responsibility and good judgment.HOURS &amp; DAYSMust be available for full camp season from June 30 - August 7, 8:30am&ndash;3:30pm (hours may vary slightly depending on the camp you are assigned to). Monday &ndash; Friday. May be asked to help cover early or extended day hours from 7:30am&ndash;8:30am or 3:00pm&ndash;5.30pm.QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS/ Hourly Rates: &middot; Seniors Counselors: Must be at least 18 years of age; preferably with camp experience and graduating high school senior or in college. Hourly Rate:$16.15 - $16.50&middot; Junior Counselors: Must be at least 16 years of age; preferably with camp experience.Hourly Rate: $15.75Duties<ul><li>Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities including sports, arts, games, and outdoor adventures to promote fun and learning.</li><li>Implement age-appropriate behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for all campers.</li><li>Provide first aid and respond promptly to minor injuries or health concerns following safety protocols.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow counselors and staff to plan fun daily schedules that incorporate physical activity &amp; creative expression.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns as needed.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and disciplined environment.</li><li>Knowledge of first aid procedures and certification in CPR is highly desirable.</li><li>Proven ability in childcare, babysitting, or tutoring roles demonstrating patience and attentiveness.</li><li>Familiarity with sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities that can enrich camper experiences.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
