Our team values professionalism, compassion, collaboration, and a positive attitude in everything we do.ABOUT THE POSITION:*THIS IS AN IN PERSON AND PATIENT FACING ROLE.*The Medical Biller plays a critical role in supporting the practice's billing operations and revenue cycle management (RCM). You will be responsible for managing billing workflows from submission through resolution, working closely with both clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and thrives in a team-oriented setting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Manage end-to-end medical billing processes and support revenue cycle management (RCM)</li><li>Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>Handle out-of-network (OON) billing, including IDR processes and personal injury (PI) case management</li><li>Review claims for accuracy; identify and resolve claim denials, rejections, and billing discrepancies</li><li>Assist with posting payments and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs)</li><li>Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to and at time of service</li><li>Respond to and resolve patient billing inquiries in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner &mdash; via phone and in person</li><li>Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, billing records, and patient accounts</li><li>Work with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding to ensure correct charge capture</li><li>Collaborate with clinical and front desk teams to streamline billing workflows and resolve documentation gaps</li><li>Stay current on payer policies, coding updates, and regulatory changes affecting medical billing</li></ul>KEY REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)</li><li>Minimum 2+ years of experience in medical billing and/or revenue cycle management</li><li>Must be comfortable speaking with patients regarding billing inquiries. </li><li>Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding</li><li>Experience with out-of-network billing, IDR processes, and/or personal injury billing preferred</li><li>Proficiency with medical billing/practice management software</li><li>Comfortable using Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs) for daily workflow and communication</li><li>Advanced understanding of insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting, and denial management</li><li>Strong computer skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish</li><li>High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Orthopedic or musculoskeletal billing experience, preferred but not required.</li><li>Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)</li><li>Familiarity with workers' compensation and personal injury billing workflows</li></ul>WHO YOU AREWe are looking for a team member who brings both expertise and a positive, patient-first mindset to the workplace:<ul><li>Friendly, personable, and respectful with colleagues and patients alike</li><li>Able to handle patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism, especially when patients are anxious about billing or medical care</li><li>Understands that patient care and service are always the priority</li><li>Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to accuracy</li><li>A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a diverse, collaborative team</li><li>Interested in growing professionally within a supportive and encouraging environment</li></ul>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS<ul><li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li><li>Full-time position with consistent, stable hours</li><li>Collaborative and supportive work environment</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and growth</li></ul>If you are looking to join a professional and welcoming team where your skills are valued and your work directly supports patient care, we encourage you to apply.
