General Purpose:</b></p></div><div><p>
The primary purpose of the <b>Human Resources Manager</b> position is to assist the Director of Staff Development (DSD), Director of Nursing (DON), and Administrator in administering policies and implementing facility orientation. This role is essential for fostering a positive work environment and supporting the organization&rsquo;s goals and values.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b>
Essential Duties:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Support organizational goals and values while maintaining strict confidentiality.</p></li><li><p>
Follow schedules and instructions from your supervisor and adhere to established policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>
Organize the orientation of new employees in compliance with regulations, covering care philosophy, resident rights, safety, infection control, and facility policies.</p></li><li><p>
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.</p></li><li><p>
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, including candidate screening, interviews, and scheduling.</p></li><li><p>
Enter required information into HR data systems.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare reports on various HR topics as needed.</p></li><li><p>
Update employment records regarding hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.</p></li><li><p>
Administer benefits programs including life, health, dental, and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, and employee assistance.</p></li><li><p>
Collaborate with the Risk Manager on complex HR and workers&rsquo; compensation cases.</p></li><li><p>
Schedule in-services and maintain records of orientation and attendance for each employee.</p></li><li><p>
Coordinate the safety program and schedule health examinations and tests as directed.</p></li><li><p>
Document and coordinate all required fire/internal disaster drills.</p></li><li><p>
Communicate courteously and cooperatively with all facility personnel, residents, and the public.</p></li><li><p>
Promote good public relations on behalf of the facility.</p></li><li><p>
Advertise available positions as requested and provide information to answer questions and requests.</p></li><li><p>
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.</p></li><li><p>
Process and monitor garnishment orders and any issues impacting payroll specifications.</p></li><li><p>
Update payroll records by reviewing changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and job titles.</p></li><li><p>
Issue paychecks or electronic transfers/direct deposits to bank accounts.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare payroll reports, confirming employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and leave.</p></li><li><p>
Process manual checks and termination payroll checks within appropriate timeframes.</p></li><li><p>
Verify and calculate payroll liabilities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.</p></li><li><p>
Monitor sick and vacation accruals and complete verification of employment requests.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare payroll allocation reports for the finance team and reconcile payroll prior to transmission.</p></li><li><p>
Maintain confidentiality of payroll operations and provide support for complex HR cases as needed.</p></li><li><p>
Regularly complete audits and corrections to maintain compliance.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>
Supervisory Requirements:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
This position may include supervisory responsibilities for an HR Assistant.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
High School Diploma or equivalent required; <b>two years of college education</b> preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Minimum of <b>2 years of administrative experience</b>, preferably within an HR department.</p></li><li><p>
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p>
