The Strategic Sourcing Agent is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to support the company&rsquo;s purchasing objectives. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability of goods and services. You&rsquo;ll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost savings, mitigate supply chain risks, and create long-term value through effective supplier partnerships.This position requires domestic travel approximately 25% of the time.What You&rsquo;ll Do:Supplier Management &amp; Negotiation:<ul><li>Identify, qualify, and select suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, service, and cost.</li><li>Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance.</li></ul>Strategic Sourcing &amp; Cost Optimization:<ul><li>Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives.</li><li>Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and sourcing efficiencies.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier consolidation and standardization of materials/services.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and finance to align sourcing strategies with business needs.</li><li>Support new product development by sourcing materials and suppliers to meet project timelines.</li><li>Collaborate with legal on supplier contracts, agreements, and compliance requirements.</li></ul>Risk Management &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.</li><li>Mitigate risks in the supply chain by diversifying suppliers and monitoring market trends.</li><li>&middot;Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.</li></ul>Market &amp; Industry Analysis<ul><li>Conduct market research to stay current with industry trends, pricing shifts, and emerging suppliers.</li><li>Benchmark suppliers and evaluate alternatives to maintain competitive advantage.</li></ul>What You&rsquo;ll Need:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required.</li><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.</li><li>Demonstrated strong negotiation and contract management skills.</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.</li><li>Strong degree of confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li></ul>What Helps:<ul><li>Knowledge of global sourcing, logistics, and trade compliance is a plus.</li></ul>The above list is non-exhaustive.
