<b>SUPERVISES:</b> None<br>
<b>FLSA Status:</b> Hourly, Non-Exempt<br>
<b>COMPENSATION:</b> $15.00/hour<br>
<b>WORK CALENDAR:</b> 183 Days<br>
<b>STANDARD HOURS:</b> 7.5 Hours/Day Monday - Thursday<br>
<b>CORP STATUS:</b> Classified<br>
<b>PERF:</b> CPCSC is a Non-PERF District
<div></div><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b>
<ul><li>Report to administrator or designee for daily schedule</li>
<li>Be flexible, as teacher absences will dictate the daily assignments</li>
<li>Be professional at all times</li>
<li>Follow all school rules, procedures, and district policies</li>
<li>Professional attire is expected</li>
<li>When assigned, assume the duties and roles of the regular classroom teacher</li>
<li>Supervise and manage the classroom, including student discipline</li>
<li>Supervision of students outside of the classroom during the school day as directed by administration administration</li>
<li>Implementation of lesson plans left by the teacher to maximize academic time and motivate students to be engaged learners</li>
<li>Assign tasks and homework according to the daily lesson plan provided</li>
<li>Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interests of the students</li>
<li>Take all precautions to protect equipment, materials, and facilities</li>
<li>Foster a safe and positive classroom environment. Ensure appropriate constant student supervision and assure the health, welfare, and safety of students</li>
<li>Report injuries, accidents, and issues to the school nurse or administration</li>
<li>The permanent substitute teacher position may be a single classroom or in multiple assignments within a day</li>
</ul>
<div></div><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b>
<ul><li>Possess a Substitute Teacher Permit issued by the Indiana Department of Education or hold a valid Indiana Teachers License</li>
<li>Prior experience working with students desired</li>
<li>A degree from higher education is preferred but not required. Must meet all Clark-Pleasant employee eligibility criteria</li>
