<div>Job Overview: 


The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library (Heights Libraries) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Services Associate to join our team at the Lee Road Branch. This part-time position plays a critical role in providing exceptional customer service at the busy reference desk while also assisting in program planning. 


The ideal candidate will have a passion for help library patrons of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment.<div>
Education: 
 
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Coursework or experience related to social work, or library science is a plus.</li></ul></div> 

<div>
Experience: 
<ul><li>Experience working in a public library or customer service role, particularly in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Experience working with diverse populations is strongly preferred.</li></ul></div>

Skills &amp; Knowledge: 
<ul><li>Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of people.</li><li>Comfort with technology and software, including Microsoft Office applications and digital library resources.</li><li>Patience and adaptability when assisting customers of varying levels of technical expertise.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication skills&mdash;both written and verbal&mdash;with the ability to clearly explain information to others.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.</li></ul></div><div> 

Work Environment and Conditions:
<ul><li>Location: Based at the Lee Road Branch of Heights Libraries, working in a busy, dynamic library environment.</li><li>Work Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week), covering day and evening shifts, including weekends.</li><li>Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and push carts. Ability to move materials and interact with the public in a variety of settings.</li></ul>

Salary:
