 Description
 
 
 
 The Security and Special Events Manager oversees control room and floor operations during special events and regular business hours. Manages activities of the museum&rsquo;s protection services team to provide adequate safety, protection and security for the collection, facility, staff, visitors, interns, volunteers, and contractors. Provides training to staff in safety, security and visitor service as needed. Works with staff, contractors and vendors in accordance for special events to ensure a safe and secure environment.
 
 
 
 Requirements And Key Competencies
 
 
 
 Associate degree from college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.
 
 
 Employee should have excellent interpersonal skills, be dependable, and be willing and available to work evenings and weekends as required. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people in a variety of situations essential. Able to properly manage conflict resolution in a professional and kind manner. Formulate recommendations for the development or modification of policies and practices that promote diversity, inclusivity, and equity. Participate in professional organizations to promote networking and best practices. Required to be trained and certified in First Aid and CPR. Knowledge and experience of alarm, fire, and video surveillance systems.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Schedules guards for floor, parking, and special events operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fingerprinting and issuance of security identification badges.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversees control room operations and fills in as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create, implement, and/or coordinate all training for Protection Services Staff and other staff members, including but not limited to safety, security, and customer service.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in all functions of parking operations as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages floor operations on all shifts as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assumes gallery or post duties as necessary to cover lunch/break reliefs or as other circumstances dictate.
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigates and writes incident reports such as accidents, thefts, and other security related events. Reports and submits incidents to security operation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Resolves and recommends solutions to various departmental and employee problems and situations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proposes updates to departmental documents, as necessary.
 </li>
 <li>
 Required to fill in when needed to maintain a proper level of security management in the building. On call as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training gallery guards, security supervisors and night watch personnel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares disciplinary reports and presents to staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Cooperates with police, fire and civil defense authorities as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides training of first aid and CPR, safety, customer service and other duties as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages lost and found.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conducts roll call daily. Informs staff of appropriate information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serves as primary contact on weekends, evenings and holidays concerning visitor service issues and building safety concerns.
 </li>
 <li>
 Continues education and training in related fields to improve quality of services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other duties as assigned.

 The Audience Impact Specialist plays a key role in fostering an audience-centered and data-informed approach across the museum. The Audience Impact Specialist supports the Assistant Director of Audience Research and Evaluation with the planning, execution, and analysis of audience research and evaluation studies and with the gathering, visualization, and reporting on audience, attendance, and marketing data in reliable, insight, approachable, and actionable ways. This role also is responsible for using project management software to organize, oversee, and communicate timelines, tasks, deliverables, and budget alignment for evaluation studies and marketing campaigns; this position therefore works closely with the entire Communications and External Relations division.
 
 
 
 Requirements And Key Competencies
 
 
 
 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree, 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
 
 
 Excellent writing skills and computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with word-processing software, spreadsheet software, and computer-database management preferred. Previous experience with project management software preferred. Data analysis experience in SPSS, R, or similar software preferred.
 
 
 Prior experience in evaluation, research, visitor studies, or market research, preferably for an informal learning institution such as a nonprofit, museum, library, cultural organization, or foundation.
 
 
 Demonstrated experience contributing to evaluation projects, including knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, analysis and coding techniques, data visualization, and sharing results clearly and effectively for a variety of stakeholders.
 
 
 Must be professional and have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact diplomatically with staff members and other customers. Must be able to work creatively, effectively, and independently on multiple projects simultaneously, and to be detail-oriented in a fast-paced, team environment.
 
 
 Must possess excellent organizational ability and time management skills to establish timetables, meet strict and sometimes concurrent deadlines, multi-task and prioritize workloads. Ability to work with a wide variety of people in a variety of social settings required.

 Alongside the Assistant Director of Audience Research and Evaluation, gathers, visualizes, and reports evaluation insights, audience metrics, attendance data, and marketing performance metrics such as earned media and social media impressions for grants, institutional dashboards, presentations, and other needs.

 Project Management and Marketing Support

 Organize and oversee evaluation projects and marketing campaigns in project management software to create and manage a project plan for the tasks, timelines, and resources required. Communicate with the project team to monitor progress to achieve timeline and budget goals.

 Maintain and communicate processes for tracking progress against milestones, deadlines and budget scope of marketing campaigns and evaluation projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend Marketing events such as exhibition media previews as required to assist the Chief Marketing Officer, Director of Communications, and Communications Manager in coordination and implementation, occasionally outside of regular business hours.
