Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Probate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in estate planning, guardianships, probate law &amp; regulations. This role involves managing probate cases, providing legal counsel to clients, and supporting the firm&rsquo;s commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. The Probate Attorney will utilize advanced legal research tools, demonstrate strong writing and drafting skills, and maintain a thorough understanding of legal procedures and administrative processes within a law office environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage all aspects of probate cases from inception through resolution, including estate administration, guardianships and litigation.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive legal research using resources to support case strategies.</li><li>Draft legal documents such as pleadings, guardianship petitions, wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments with precision and clarity.</li><li>Provide expert advice on estate planning, family law, tribal law &amp; regulations, and more as needed.</li><li>Negotiate settlements and facilitate communication between clients and opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes.</li><li>Represent clients in court proceedings related to probate/Guardianship matters and other legal disputes.</li><li>Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues within the law office to ensure seamless case management and client service delivery.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Admission to the North Carolina state bar with active license to practice law.</li><li>Proven experience in estate planning, litigation, and a broad spectrum of legal areas including probate law.</li><li>Strong research skills.</li><li>Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and effective legal documents.</li><li>Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative experience within a busy law office setting.</li><li>Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with the ability to handle complex cases with professionalism and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and client confidentiality.
