 This HVAC/EMS position works with minimal supervision in performing Journeyman Level work in the Operation, Maintenance &amp; Repair of Large Modern HVAC, Refrigeration, Heating Systems, Equipment, and Energy Management Systems (EMS). Requires some Minor Installation/Construction as assigned to keep buildings and property functional and safe. The HVAC/EMS Mechanic is responsible for responding to and resolving all Energy Management and HVAC issues and concerns.
 
 
 
 Duties and Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Learn to perform proper installation practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of the different types of network communication. (Like Modbus, Echelon, 485)
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding best wiring and grounding practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding EMS components
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Completion of all paperwork properly.

 Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High school diploma
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid driver&rsquo;s license
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication skills (read/writing/speak)
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong mechanical aptitude, an asset
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to use hand and power tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in installing controls.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to complete work in a timely manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of all EMS components
 </li>
 <li>
 Brazing experience is an asset
 </li>
 <li>
 EPA certification
 </li>
 <li>
 Travel Required
 </li>
 <li>
 Be an honest team player, growth-oriented, ability to do whatever it takes; safely!
 
 
 
 </li>

 Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
 
 
 
 Regularly required to stand; walk; climb; carry; bend; kneel; reach; push; pull; occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; noise level is medium/low.
