 Purpose of the Role
 
 
 To lead and manage the production of pitches and marketing content in Arabic, which contribute to raising profile and winning work for the Middle East &amp; Africa (MEA) region.
 
 
 The Role
 
 
 Responsible for the generation of pitches and marketing content in Arabic, which enable the firm to achieve a more profitable return on investment in this area, both financially and through client perception of Clyde &amp; Co.
 
 
 The candidate will support the wider team and business to create, maintain and improve Arabic pitch resources and marketing materials such as directory submissions, credentials databases, pitch standard wording, case studies and marketing content as well as delivering training where needs are identified.
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Pitches and pursuits
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Review RFP requirements to facilitate go/no-go discussions and develop appropriate pitch strategies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage the production and delivery of bids and tenders, working in partnership with the relevant partners, BD staff and support teams such as design and translations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Project management and appropriate planning of each stage of the pitch process - from receipt of RFP to submission of the final proposal.
 </li>
 <li>
 Builds a rapport with the individual partners and develops a clear and detailed understanding of the pitch and the partner's expectations, ensuring requests are carried out whilst keeping teams informed of progress.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coach and rehearse relevant lawyers for beauty parades in conjunction with Client Development Managers where relevant, guiding participants through their presentation content and approach, overseeing the management of rehearsals and the production of compelling presentation material.
 </li>
 <li>
 A sound awareness and adherence to the firm's risk management processes and internal procedures so all risks are identified at an early stage and that the partners concerned and senior management are fully appraised of any potential risk to the business.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinating and conducting debriefs on bid wins and losses gaining feedback from both clients and partners. Keeping the wider team informed of new approaches in areas such as - presentation approach, structure of pitch documents and pricing options, so that the team's awareness of other pitch approaches and client feedback improves.
 </li>
 <li>
 Records regular and accurate management information on bids through InterAction, and other pitch team management information systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create, maintain and improve pitch resources such as credentials database, standard wording and case studies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate an understanding of the full range of the firm's products, services and capabilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and contribute to legal directory and awards submissions ensuring that content is disseminated into pitch resources.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contributing to regional and global projects designed to improve efficiency and competitiveness of proposals.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Marketing and communications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Create and deliver key parts of the regional marketing and communications strategy in line with the MEA strategic growth priorities
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate and develop Arabic assets for multichannel marketing campaigns across the MEA region
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand and maximise the potential of systems and software used for marketing and communications activities
 </li>
 <li>
 Managing the production of brochures and key marketing materials.
 </li>
 <li>
 Creating and maintaining content on the firm's website, intranet and social media platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Working with the team to create client mailings via Vuture

 Candidate Profile
 
 
 
 The Ideal Candidate Will Have
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 A proactive, self-motivated approach and be a team player who can also demonstrate strong communication, attention to detail and priority setting skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities within tight timescales.
 </li>
 <li>
 Outstanding communication and written skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Considerable experience of working as a BD Pitch practitioner at manager level within a fast-paced professional services environment, preferably within the legal industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of managing complex tender processes with several information streams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience of considering how client, practice and sector strategies should be applied to individual proposals.
 </li>
 <li>
 A track record of pitching to Government entities ideally in the Middle East.
 </li>
 <li>
 Commercial thinking to understand the potential client's needs and business issues and awareness with the ability to grasp the key aspects of our business proposition and how the firm can achieve a profitable return on the services it provides.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong copy writing skills and a good understanding of branding and design in the production of bid responses with experience of working closely with a design team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience of preparing directory and award submissions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effective negotiation skills and the ability to work closely with partners and associates and possesses the ability to influence key partners and decision makers.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong IT skills with experience of CRM systems (preferably InterAction), Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work to very tight deadlines under pressure, to assimilate information quickly and ability to bring together a cohesive document from different sources of information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong interpersonal skills including confidence, positivity, diplomacy and the ability to gain credibility quickly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Arabic Pitches & Content Manager

 Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures/shareholder arrangements and equity investments;

 Prepare and negotiate transaction documents including term sheets, share/asset purchase agreements, disclosure letters, joint venture/shareholder agreements, investment agreements, subscription agreements and ancillary corporate documents;

 Due to the continued growth of our Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice, we now have a newly created vacancy for a qualified lawyer. The ideal candidate will have an extensive commercial background, gained within a large-scale international or regional top tier firm and significant exposure to IP/TMT issues.
 
 
 
 Job Requirements
 
 
 
 This is a non-contentious role within the broader IP/TMT team and the main responsibilities will involve:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Advising on the protection, registration (excluding prosecution) and licensing of patents, copyright and trademarks, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including IP licences.
 </li>
 <li>
 Carrying out research on TMT legal issues including telecoms and media regulation, cloud computing, software development and licensing, content distribution, e-commerce, mobile payments, data protection and cybersecurity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advising clients on the identification and ability to protect the full spectrum of IP rights, including knowledge of the registration process. The role will not involve any IP prosecution capability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drafting, reviewing and negotiating stand-alone IP agreements including IP licences and franchise agreements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drafting, reviewing and negotiating IP provisions within a wide range of other commercial agreements in the hospitality, education and projects and construction sectors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supporting M&amp;A and corporate transactions and other wider projects with specialist IP and TMT due diligence, research and ancillary contracts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drafting advice to clients on IP and TMT legal issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drafting various commercial agreements covering supply, distribution, consultancy and advertising.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supporting the TMT team on larger-scale technology procurement, transformational IT and outsourcing projects.
 </li>

 Assisting with the preparation and delivery of proposals, pitches, presentations and legal training materials.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Candidate Requirements
 
 
 
 The ideal candidate will have:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bilingual (Arabic/English)
 </li>
 <li>
 A PQE level of 3-5 years post qualification experience;
 </li>
 <li>
 A strong academic background, training and experience gained with a well-recognised firm or business;
 </li>
 <li>
 2:1 (or higher) degree classification (or equivalent).
 </li>
 <li>
 Training and experience gained from a large-scale international or regional top tier firm, with an established presence in the IP/TMT sector;
 </li>
 <li>
 A genuine interest in developing their career with the leading IP/TMT practice in the Middle East;
 </li>
 <li>
 Good drafting skills with a keen attention to detail, preferably with experience in drafting basic commercial contracts (e.g. NDAs) and the ability to contribute to more complex agreements;
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in carrying out detailed and methodical legal research using available resources;
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in liaising with and co-ordinating advice from foreign correspondent counsel in the Middle East would be an advantage;
 </li>
 <li>
 Confidence and initiative with a keenness to assume responsibility, work independently and take a pro-active and commercial approach to solving issues;
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in marketing and business development;
 </li>
 <li>
 Clear and demonstrable commitment to developing your career in the Middle East;
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in drafting pitches and proposal documents for legal work would be an advantage; and
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in the preparation of legal training material and/or delivery of training seminars or lectures would be an advantage.
