What You'll Do</b></h2></div><ul><li>
Analyze process performance using data-driven methods to identify waste, variability, and improvement opportunities</li><li>
Investigate and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment needs to continually improve performance</li><li>
Work with department and shift managers to optimize personnel and process execution for consistent performance and continuous process improvement</li><li>
Monitor shop performance and processes daily for operation within established parameters</li><li>
Determine causes for deviation and recommend corrections</li><li>
Provide reporting daily, weekly and monthly to document Mill performance against established key performance indicators</li><li>
Work with Quality Assurance Department to monitor product quality and identify and correct any deviations</li><li>
Interact with company personnel resources external to plant about process performance and improvement</li><li>
Initiate communication with resources external to company (suppliers and contractors) for consistency and improvement initiatives</li><li>
Lead or support process improvement projects and operational excellence initiatives</li></ul></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You'll Need</b></h2></div><ul><li>
Knowledge of Rolling Mill operations to include Reheat Furnace, Rolling Mill, Cooling Bed, and Backshear Bundling equipment strongly preferred</li><li>
Minimum three years rolling mill experience in a hands on environment</li><li>
Basic knowledge of the rolling process preferred</li><li>
Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal</li><li>
Highly technical, detail oriented, organized and self-starter</li><li>
Willingness and ability to work hands-on in the shop with operators on flexible schedules</li><li>
Ability to work within all levels of the organization (shop floor to upper management)</li><li>
Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail</li></ul></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Your Education</b></h2></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.</li></ul></div></div><p>
