Position Summary

Graphic Designer is an entry to mid-level creative professional responsible for executing packaging updates, product literature, and digital/print marketing materials under direction. This role focuses on technical execution, brand consistency, and developing efficiency in production-ready artwork. 


Core Responsibilities

Design Execution
<ul><li>
Execute packaging revisions and layout updates</li><li>
Create digital ads, social media graphics, and website assets</li><li>
Prepare print-ready files under supervision</li><li>
Follow established brand standards</li></ul> 


Production &amp; File Preparation
<ul><li>
Ensure correct file formats, bleed, resolution, and color standards</li><li>
Organize and maintain digital asset libraries</li><li>
Assist with proofing and error correction</li></ul> 


Collaboration &amp; Revisions
<ul><li>
Implement feedback accurately and efficiently</li><li>
Communicate status updates to project manager</li><li>
Participate in creative discussions</li></ul>

Qualifications

Education and Experience
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>
0&ndash;2 years of experience in graphic design, multimedia, or marketing (internships acceptable)</li><li>
Portfolio demonstrating design fundamentals and creative work</li><li>
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)</li><li>
Basic experience creating digital content (social media graphics, simple layouts, etc.)</li></ul> 


Skills and Attributes
<ul><li>
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)</li><li>
Basic understanding of layout, typography, and color theory</li><li>
Ability to create simple digital and print design assets</li><li>

Requirements
<ul><li>
Must be a US Citizen (ITAR requirements)</li><li>
Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>
Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements.</li><li>
Satisfactorily complete the 90-day probationary period.</li><li>

Working &amp; Physical Requirements

This internship operates primarily in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility, with periodic exposure to typical production environments including noise from machinery, airborne particulates or dust, varying ambient temperatures, industrial lighting, odors, vibrations, mechanical/chemical hazards, and occasional confined spaces or outdoor areas with unstable ground and some climbing. 


Physical Demands
<ul><li>
The essential functions of this role require the ability to:</li><li>
Remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for extended periods, with frequent standing comprising 60% or more of the shift.</li><li>
Move about the facility to access work areas, equipment, materials, and operations (including walking, traversing uneven surfaces, and occasional stair climbing).</li><li>
Position self to perform tasks, which may include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching (overhead, forward, and to the sides), and twisting at the waist&mdash;at a minimum of 50% of the shift.</li><li>
Lift, carry, push, pull, move, transport, position, install, or remove materials, tooling, parts containers, or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier loads with assistance or mechanical aids.</li><li>
Perform repetitive motions, including fine motor tasks such as gripping, reaching, pulling, turning, torquing fixtures, using hand tools, operating machinery, or assembling/machining/testing parts.</li><li>
Demonstrate proficient manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for detailed part inspection, blueprint reading, CAD work, testing, or technical documentation.</li><li>
Maintain visual acuity to inspect fine details on parts, read blueprints/instructions/reports, identify defects, and discern colors/shades as needed (including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus).</li><li>
Operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities while following detailed instructions, safety protocols, and engineering standards.</li></ul> 


Work Environment &amp; PPE

Frequent exposure to manufacturing hazards such as moving machinery, forklifts, excessive noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, humidity, heat sources, and shop lighting.

Required to wear and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated for the area or task, including (but not limited to) safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection when on the manufacturing floor. Additional PPE (e.g., safety footwear, gloves, or respirators) may be required depending on specific assignments or department.
