Fabrication Specialist - Job DescriptionCoastal Building Supply is the leading supplier of imported tropical hardwoods, domestic lumber and specialty building materials in the mid-Atlantic region. To deliver on that mission, we count on exceptionally talented, bright, and committed individuals to make up our team. We are currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for operating woodworking machinery and producing high-quality fabricated building materials. The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry experience, strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Although the major emphasis will be working in our fabrication shop this position may also assist in general warehouse operations and customer deliveries. The Fabrication Specialist will report to the Fabrication Shop Manager.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate all woodworking equipment in fabrication shop including 5-Head Moulder, Planer, Straight Line Rip Saw, Bandsaw, Drill Press, Jointer, Wide Belt Sander, Shaper, Table Saw, Dust Collection and others.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and ensure proper functioning of equipment</li><li>Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift and other equipment</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li><li>Collaborate with team members and assist customers as needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years carpentry experience required</li><li>Strong general woodworking knowledge and skills</li><li>Experience operating woodworking machinery; moulder experience preferred</li><li>Forklift operation experience required</li><li>Ability to read measurements and use standard measuring tools accurately</li><li>Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift</li><li>Comfortable working in a warehouse/shop environment with machinery and noise</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
