Job Role includes:</div>
<div>
<ul><li>Responsible for supporting the tax manager on all Direct &amp; Indirect tax compliances for Coats Pakistan. This includes liaising with tax advisors, local BUs and tax authorities as necessary to ensure the groups tax obligations are efficiently managed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Support the tax manager with identification of local tax compliance and planning initiatives for Coats Pakistan, including and supporting the execution of such initiatives as required. This includes identification of any tax incentives, tax or government subsidies and tax treatment thereon.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Support the tax manager with identification of tax risk in relation to all direct and indirect taxes in Pakistan, including identification, investigation and evaluating mitigation to ensure risk is effectively assessed and mitigated. Support with Tax Authority audits/ enquiries, including liaison with tax advisors and managing the provision of information with the BUs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide tax support to the Pakistan tax manager for business initiatives to improve performance/profitability and ensure the tax position of the Group is optimised. Provision of support on tax advisory services on business-driven queries and initiatives, and updates on tax developments and implications for the business.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting and forecasting processes for Pakistan, including assisting in the review of Year-End tax reporting packs, tax provisions and cash tax forecasts submitted by BUs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide tax support for treasury/cash management processes in Pakistan, while ensuring that the Group&rsquo;s tax position is effectively managed and optimised. This includes cash repatriation strategy.</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p>

Assistant Manager Tax

To ensure accurate tracking and compliance of import and export activities, manage customs certificates and settlement processes, and coordinate with brokers and authorities to support smooth regulatory and financial operations.</b></div><br>

Job Responsibilities:</b></div><br>

1. Customs Certificate Follow-up:</b><br>
<ul><li>Receiving import certificates from customs brokers and reviewing them.</li><li>Recording import and export certificates in the reconciliation sheet to track quantities.</li><li>Monitoring imported quantities and ensuring full utilization.</li><li>Receiving original letters of guarantee from the Central Customs Authority after completing related import certificates.</li><li>Tracking the export systems as per the reconciliation plan.</li><li>Sending monthly list with the import certificates number to validate with export with brokers.</li></ul></div>

2. Industrial Inspection:</b><br>
<ul><li>Conducting industrial inspection for newly added items in the company.</li><li>Coordinating with relevant authorities for the registration and review of new items.</li></ul></div>

3. Letters of Guarantee:</b><br>
<ul><li>Monitoring issuance and renewal of letters of guarantee.</li><li>Tracking expiry dates and taking timely action when required.</li></ul></div>
<div><b>
4.Settlement Process Responsibilities</b></div><div><br>
<ul><li>Record and track import and export certificates in chronological order.</li><li>Prepare and manage settlement offsetting between import and export certificates.</li><li>Coordinate with customs brokers for approval and official documentation.</li><li>Update settlement data and perform amendments within the system.</li><li>Execute quantity offsetting and submit settlement files online.</li><li>Coordinate review meetings with customs authorities.</li><li>Follow up settlement approvals and obtain completion confirmations.</li><li>Collect guarantees from the central unit and hand them over to Finance for bank processing.<b>5. </b></div><ul><li>Drive and support Kaizen and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.</li>
<li>Identify waste and improve processes using Lean and IE tools.</li>
<li>Analyse key performance data (productivity, efficiency, OTIF, WIP) to support decisions.</li>
<li>Improve workflows, layouts, and manpower utilization.</li>
<li>Support problem solving and root cause analysis to close performance gaps.</li>
<li>Ensure improvements follow safety standards and standard work.</li>
<li>Lead and support Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.</li>
<li>Identify waste and improvement opportunities using Lean tools (VSM, 5S/6S, Standard Work, SMED, etc.).</li>
<li>Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and cross-functional improvement projects.</li>
<li>Analyse workflows and layouts to optimize manpower utilization, space, and material flow.</li>
<li>Analyse operational KPIs including productivity, OTIF, efficiency, and WIP.</li>
<li>Prepare performance reports and dashboards for management review.</li>
<li>Support root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions.</li>
<li>Use data and analysis to support decision-making and improvement actions.</li>
<li>Engage operators and supervisors in improvement activities and Kaizen events.</li>
<li>Provide CI coaching and guidance to shopfloor teams.</li>
<li>Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture within all improvement initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>Education, Qualifications and Experience:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Professional graduate Bsc in the area of industrial engineering/management or similar areas.</li>
<li>Superior Communication abilities.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical skills.</li>
<li>From 0 to 2-year experience in similar area</li>
<li>PC skills especially in MS and spreadsheet applications.</li>
<li>Knowledge or qualification in Lean Management Techniques.</li></ul></div></div><p></p>
